So week 1 of the NFL season was terrible for my fantasy football team in that I used Brady as my #1 pick and now he is down and out for the year... I have Chad Pennington on my bench but I am not really confident in starting him so I went out searching the trade market and the following trade was offered to me

I GET :
Brett Farve
Donald Driver

HE GETS:
Plexico Burress
Lee Evans

With this in mind I still have Greg Jennings and Santonio Holmes on my bench, and I would also be getting Donald Driver, I do not like the idea of having two WR from the same team on my team but if it fixes my QB situation then I am willing to give it a try

Right now I am leaning towards taking the deal because I flat out need a QB, the league bases alot of points off the QB and not having a solid one would basically give me no shot what so ever

Any opinions would help!

You are giving up a lot here.

try trading Plax for a top flight QB like Brees or Romo

My first thought it that I was giving up too much, and in the long run that is probaly true...
I just need to fix this QB problem before week 2 and people just seem to want to deal the players they have

Most people dont realize that in fantasy football the dropoff after the top 4 guys of Brady,Peyton,Romo,Brees (cutler and Mcnabb will join the elite soon) is huge. The next tier of QB's Favre,Eli,Rivers,Kitna,Garrard,Rodgers, ben, Delhomme are so close in value its crazy.

Not worth trading much unless you are getting an elite one

Absolutely true.

I'd start Pennington. Farve looked good, but against Miami. Come on now. And the one TD was just thrown up there. There have to be a few QB's still on the free agent list right. Why not pick up Brady's replacement? He still has a great line, great receivers, etc. Unless you are getting a top seven QB (Brees, Romo, Manning, McNabb, Cutler, Palmer, and Rosthl - not in that order of course), I wouldn't be quick to give up Plaxico.

There are qb's on the WW. Grab Jt O'Sullivan or Kerry Collins. No sense overpaying after the first week.
