Would there be a downside to running parlay cards for my local?

I know it sounds like a stupid question but my local whom I've been running my picks through for the last 2 years was wondering if I would run parlay cards for him.

I know it sounds harmless but is there anything I should look out for? Should I even do it?

I'm guaranteed 10% of the profits so I like the idea since I have a ton of people who I did parlays with last year during the NFL season. However is there a downside I'm missing?

Opinions please.

Lot of work for a minimal cut. Most people that play these are playing $5-10 max. Depending on the number of players you find you will be doing a lot of leg work for your 10%.

That and they are illegal.

Thanks Michael.

I suppose the upside to the $5-10 dollar players is that most of my buddy's play a lot of the "hopeless" $40 six team parlays. And boy do they chase that dream on a weekly basis when they come up 1 or 2 teams short.

They still don't get the concept of winning games by betting individually. (and I ain't about to tell em) LOL...Nor do they know about this site!

3peet.............aside from the legality point....

parlay cards can in fact be a substanbtial bonus for you, if worked properly..

first of all you should get 10% of the GROSS thats turned in..not profits....hes shorting you there bud..or suggest a deal were you fade a % as high as 35% is acceptable to most books...

the key to a succesfull parlay card season is numbers..
you will have people that hit, so you need to have a large enough betting pool to absorb the ones that hit..

1. blue collar workers play parlay cards more than any other group.

2. women that normally dont wager will play parlay cards.
offices that have football pools are exellant spots
(DONT TELL THAT TO ANY FOOTBALL COACHES THOUGH..LOL)

3. pick factories, bars, car dealerships, any location that has a large group of people on a consistant basis.

4. at each location you hand out cards pick 1 person to be in charge of distributing and collecting the cards..(saves you lots of time..make sure they are responsible it doesnt do you any good if they "forgot" to hand them out.

5. be aware of the workers schedules..days off, pay days ects..
and schedule distribution and pickups accordingly..

6. do not leave the cards laying around in the open (bars, restaurants, ect) thats when the heat will come around.

if i were you id opt for a 35% fade...and settle up at the end of the season...unless there is a really bad football season you wont have to come out of pocket with anything..and you should have a nice chunk at the end of the season..

you will get alot of 5 and 10 dollar action....but hitting the right spots will get you fifty and hundred dollar cards too (more than some might think)...at any rate it doesnt matter the amount per card...just the total action turned in.

Still too much work IMO for that kinda cut. All those trips, gas and the overall hassle these things come with just isn't worth it IMO.

Especially if one guy hits for $4-500 one week that will wipe out all your %. That happens a couple times a season and you basically worked for free.

Get a better deal from your guy or I say pass on this opportunity my friend.

You shouldn't settle for less than 30% of what you take-in.

Don't concern yourself with who wins and who doesn't.
