D2- A question, serious question, what would Illinois record be if they played in the ACC , in conference record?

I'll go with 14-2, 8-0 home; 6-2 road

14-2 is about right without Duke and North Carolina in the Conference. I will have to give you an A+.

They would certainly be right there with the ACC big 3. I'd put UNC and Illini at just about even with Duke and Wake just a notch below.

Most accurate post in this thread.

This is how strong I think the ACC is. I would take out the top 4 teams in the conference. NC, Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech. I would still bet they would lose more than 1 game.

The truth is ILLINOIS is a good @ss basketball team. I guarantee if Illinois was in the ACC and NC was in the big ten you guys would say...North Carolina could not win the ACC...look at their cake schedule.

I don't know why you all gotta be haters. We have a great team for the first time in a long while, and you all are being such dickks about it.

If the ACC is so tough, how come two Big East bottom feeders are about .500 in the ACC in their first season?

Dee Brown, Deron Williams and Luther Head are all among the 23 finalists for the Player of the Year award (though none will win it). I can't find the list, does any other team have 3 players on that list?

Dont know that but I can give you NC starting 5 scoring
Sean May 16.7 pts per game.
Rashad McCants 15.2 per game.
Jawad Williams 14.5 per game
Ray Felton 12pts per game
Marvin Williams 11.4

That's a similar look to Illinois but you really can't compare the ppg head-to-head because the average total on Illinois games is going to be considerably lower because of the slowdown style that Big 10 teams like Northwestern, Indiana, Michigan etc employed against Illinois.

Hey guys,I want to take back the comment I said earlier about there is NO way Ill could win the ACC championship. THERE IS A WAY,take unc,duke,g-tech,wake,terps and ncsu out and Ill COULD possibly win the ACC then!

UNC, Wake, Duke............I doubt Illinois would be fortunate to finish 3rd and possibly as low as 6th in ACC.

NO NO NO!

Illinois is a top 10 team in the nation. Nothing more, nothing less. They will have a tough time making the elite 8 imo. If they were in the ACC they would have 4-5 losses easy.

They are a top 10 team, yes. They are also a top 5 team, 4, 3, 2, and 1.
