Would a sportsbook put a governor on your wagers if you requested?

This is not as crazy as it may sound

...say you're a known chaser (like myself) and for the sake of this conversation say you want to play, but do not want to risk more than 100.00 per wager...

Would a sportsbook accept such a request?

That is a great idea. I think it would be a good thing to ask all new signups actually.

Yes but would the book hold you down to that 100 dollar wager limit....I mean what happens when you get that itch and demand a larger wager?

I know its called discipline , but I wonder if a book hs ever had such a request...

I have had a few large balances I have milked up into the 15 K range....well the problem is when I lose a few or withdrawal, than say i got maybe 2 dimes left, LOL, I will wager that 2k on one game, just because of the previous balance...if I had the 'governer' on my acct I would never be able to do such a retarded thing

also asking Books to 'AUTO BAN' you from their Casinos would be a PLUS...

ALTHOUGH...

at the end of the day discipline is something we must master in this game...we cannot count on others to regulate it for us...

Agents do this all the time with credit customers. In the post up world things are a bit different, the money is there so no one is going to tell you how much to bet. I assume most books would agree to limit bet amounts if a customer requested it, but it would be a slippery slope at best. The first time a player gets pissed off and says the hell with what I said, it's my money and I want to bet it all on the Yankees, then what does the book do?

LOL Savant I do not have that problem thankfully...But I will toss away my reduced balance like its an old newspapaer,lol...I may have had a balance way up , then take some out or go on a bad streak and put it all on one game...I don't do this anymore but I use to...then a few weeks later i would be thinking WTF was I thinking putting my final 2 dime balance on one game...And sending back 2 dimes and playing 200 a game lol...instead if i just took a break (which I have learned to do) I'd have never made that play...

I guess to me it was all relative to what my balance was at the time...which was totally wrong...I can't tell you how many times I would make that mistake...I am waay more cautious anymore...If I have a bad streak ,I will have all my account balances sent back to my Neteller...

it is funny cauz we have a governement run Casino here in Town & if you want you can have yourself BANNED...you can select to be Banned for 1 or 2 years or even for life...

If you BAN yourself & they catch you in there they kick you out...Needless to say I have had no less than 3 close friendsBAN themselves willingly...lol...luckily I never have the urge to go there...

If you can't obtain the discipline naturally, I doubt this would help. If the fix is needed, then the player will likely find a way to get it and like stated, what happens when the client demands a higher $ wager?
