Ho hum. What an awful SB. I think this might be the least hyped SB in my memory since BAL/SF in the Harbaugh Bowl. Two upstart teams in JAX & MIN almost made an intriguing SB matchup, but instead we’re getting Brady again, this time against Nick Foles. PHI’s “D” is very good, so I’m interested in how they do against NE, but aside from that I didn’t really care who wins because both fan bases are generally obnoxious & I don’t care for either QB. I love the job Doug Pederson has done however, so as you see below I’ll be rooting for the Eagles.
Playoffs POW 0-2-1, Teasers 1-1, Overall 3-7-1.
PHI +4 ½ has done an incredible job this season on dealing w/injuries to starters as well as evolving w/personnel & scheme. Jay Ajayi has slowly worked his way into more plays while Blount has come in late in the gm to help finish off teams. PHI’s oline has been terrific recently offering great protection to Foles & opening holes for the run gm. Even better has been PHI’s deep dline, which I feel will be the difference in this gm. If PHI can continue to get pressure (avg 41% w/out blitzing) on the QB throughout the gm, PHI should have this one in the bag. But if they start to breakdown & allow Brady to throw short to his talented WRs & RBs, NE will move the ball. But watching how disciplined PHI was in the secondary & LB (keeping the ball in front of them @ all times) I feel YAC should be limited for NE. As for the pressure of the moment, I think that nervousness went away following their win against ATL. There were big nerves in that gm, esp for their “O”, but against the best “D” in the league PHI’s oline & Foles looked highly confident. Plus I have big faith in Pederson & his coaching staff to not overthink the gm & allow the strengths of their players to manage the gm, but still have enough wrinkles to avoid being predictable. Finally the spread is a fantastic #, outside of being 7 ½.

It has been such a fun season. I know I got cold in POs, but I hope I was able to help a handful of folks this past yr.
I haven’t seen props pop up yet, so I’ll likely play some & post if I have time.
GL to all & comments are most welcome.
