Went 2-2 last wk, with my #1 & 2 going down like Chinatown. Very sad my Fins lost, but at least I can take emotion out of capping the rest of the way. However, I do have a grudge against BAL now!

The lines are pretty sharp IMO, so my POW will be a total. I really like 2 unders, but I'm going with PIT/SD Under 38. It's always hard to score in chilly, windy Heinz Field, but now with Ben having head problems, and LT out for SD, it looks even harder. Combine that with SD's "D" playing the best it ever has without Merriman, and expect a FG, field position gm to get one of these teams to the AFC Finals. I know Sproles did MVP work for SD vs IND, but PIT's "D" is a different story. And Heinz Field is a lot sloppier than SD's stadium. So I expect Sprole's speed to be neutralized. In fact, I think Bennett will have just as many carries as Sproles, because he can not take the beating PIT will give him the entire gm. Esp if he's expected to return kicks as well. Speaking of special teams, PIT has the #1 kick coverage, and #4 punt coverage units in the league. SD's Mike Scifres showed last wk why he's been an elite punter for many yrs. Again, this all plays into field position, which is great for Unders. Throw in the fact that this is a winner-moves-on situation, and the coaches won't want to give up field all gm, being content with punts, FG's, and conservative play calling. SD played field position with IND, who has a worse "D", and better "O" then PIT!

SD 9
PIT 12

I originally liked PIT -6, but that's looking more shaky due to PIT's inability to run, their bad oline, Ben's concussion, and SD's resurgent "D". I'll just cheer on the "D" instead.

BOL all!

My 2nd best play is the NYG -4. I really believe Gmen struggled a lot w/out Brandon Jacobs. With him back in the lineup, and watching PHI struggle vs a so-so MIN team, has me thinking NY will control the tempo of this gm. When their gm still meant something, NYG kept Westbrook in check. And I strongly feel McNabb turns it over a few times here.

PHI 17
NYG 27

TEN u34 This could blow up in my face, but I highly doubt it. Like PIT/SD, this should be a definite field position gm. They both know their QB's shouldn't be relied on to engineer gm winning drives in the final minutes, so they'll want to pinch every little yard they can. Both teams have reliable kickers, so going for FG's on 4th and inches should be the way to go.

Last but not that least, I like ARI +10. Their last gm was decided by 3, and ARI's "D" is playing like it did earlier in the season. If CAR can't get DeAngelo going, they could be in for a long day. CAR has a much better run blocking oline then ATL though, but ARI's job against Turner was impressive. I'm aware of ARI's inabilities on the easside, but their closest gm there was against CAR.

hey wormy!!!! what up? dont like zona, you cant play that far off receivers in the nfl..... panthers will eat them up.

Gmen will win the old fashion way. Steelies will blow out the superchargers! Titans will win, not close.

Wormy,BOL on your picks this weekend but dont think the Chargers have a snowballs chance in hell of winning on Sunday in Pittsburgh and remember the weather will down right chilly and playing the late afternoon game wont help out either.Remember Heinz Field is one of the worst places to kick in and I dont think that Mike Scifres will do what he did last weekend in perfect conditions and cant see Sproles going off on this Steelers defense. So that leaves you Phillip Rivers and I think the Steelers will keep him in the pocket and blitz the crap out of him all day long and winning here confortably here like 24-10.Gravy :toast:

Hey Bill, where've you been?! Well Bill, if TEN just knew how to hold on to the ball when they're in the redzone, this gm would be a blowout, and my Under play would be history! At least we agree with NYG, that's a pretty strong play for me. Hope Eli don't mess things up for me! GL too buddy!

Well Gravy, I felt like you did about PIT and was thinking of making that my POW. But everyone is looking at PIT's "D" & SD's "O". People are forgetting about PIT's "O", and SD's "D". I don't have confidence in Ben, and I think he may lose this gm for PIT. And their run gm is abysmal. Plus, SD's "D" has been playing very well since Rivera took over halfway thru the yr. That's why I really like the Under.

But, if you're playing PIT, then I'm cheering for you! I hate SD & Turner, so even w/out action on the gm, I'm with PIT. BOL!

One win so far, and I'm changing my ARI play as well. With a wet field, and Boldin out, I feel CAR will control this gm on the ground, and cover 9 1/2. I also love the under 49 1/2, for the above reasons.

Boy should I have just stuck with my original plays. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to go against yourself. Man am I getting reamed by Delhomme. I can not believe this guy took a team to a super bowl. Even @ MIN earlier this yr he played just as awful. Why CAR is going away from DeAngelo is beyond me. GL in the off-season CAR!

Bill- Thanks man, I made the same mistake with the super bowl last yr, when I absolutely loved NYG when the matchup first happened, then with all the public on them, I ended up going with NE. Slap! You're correct about Unders too, teams in playoffs aren't the usual suspects, so "D" rules in this yr's gms. GL to you too my friend.

Cheddar- Yeah, I drafted Delly in 2 FF leagues, so I know how crappy he's been all season. So as soon as the pregame show was mentioning Delhomme would be key to this gm, I should've bet the farm on ARI. And yes, let's go "D" in PIT gm!!!
