What a shock. A perfect wk followed by an embarrassing GOY loss. Extremely hard luck w/Hoyer going down on Thurs gm, then I sorely underestimated MIN’s horrendous oline. PHI plays much better @ hm, esp on “D”, so that was a lesson re-learned. MIN’s “D” absolutely dominated Wentz & co, but Bradford’s TOs & 2 huge STs gaffes greased the MIN skids. As they say, it’s better to be lucky than good & I have zero luck so far this season.
POW 3-3-1, Teasers 5-2, Overall 17-12-2, GOY 0-1.
NE (-6) hasn’t skipped a beat since the return of Brady. Gronk is back healthy as well & getting into a groove w/his BFF. Belicheat is up to his usual great game planning where he attacks a team’s weakness whether it be an individual player or the entire opposing “O” & “D”. Brady passes 40 & 35 times for more than 350 yds each vs CLE & CIN, then throws only 26 times for 220 yds against PIT (where NE ran it 29 times for 140 yds). I have a feeling NE will do the same vs BUF after Ajayi ripped them for over 200 yds on the ground, ironically the same result following PIT’s miserable defense of Ajayi the wk before. Running the ball should also help keep upstart DE Lorenzo Alexander @ bay, who leads the NFL in sacks. BUF’s bread & butter is their run gm, which sets up Taylor for some deep hits. But McCoy is doubtful & even his backup Gillislee is nursing a bad foot. On “D” BUF will be missing safety Williams in the secondary which should only help both the run gm & thru the air for NE. Gronk can tie the franchise TD record & Brady can tie Favre in dominance over 1 team in this gm, but it is the fact that BUF has not swept the Patsies since Belicheat arrived in ’00 that should paint the likely outcome in BUF.
