Official bad beat season for the Worm. NE was down 4 starting olinemen due to injury & COVID restrictions, which actually wasn’t a major factor vs HOU since Jones was only sacked once. But, they did have a had time running which is key to beating up on HOU & somehow McCourty had an awful gm making Davis Mills look like Peyton Manning. NE was lucky to even pull out the SU win. POW losses now tally @ a combined 14 ½ pts over 4 gms. MIA was actually only down a TD despite awful “O” play heading into the 4[SUP]th[/SUP]. #1 pick Waddle (which I wanted Devonta Smith) had a horrendous drop that turned into a pick & another TB TD, stopping any comeback attempt. Thanks to that 21 pt 4[SUP]th[/SUP] the Under was torpedoed as well. As I wrote, PHI is tuff to cap wk to wk & they did just enough on “O” & “D” to upset CAR & JAX were who we thought they were against the now surging Titans. Teaser hit in my only win of Wk 5.
Regular Season POW 1-4, Teasers 3-2, GOY 0-0, Overall 10-14 (13-14 undocumented)
DAL -3 ½ is playing fantastic thus far, amazingly on both sides of the ball. DAL’s “O” led by Dak is no mystery to anyone, however Dan Quinn has come in & reshaped this “D” into a ball hawking unit that’s looking for TOs. 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] yr man Trevon Diggs (GTD w/ankle) leads the league in INTs w/6 & rookie Micah Parsons is blowing up plays every gm. Giving pts @ NE is rarely a smart play, however NE will still be working behind a shuffled oline w/even the expected starting LT (Herron) being questionable w/a bad back. RB Damian Harris is also banged up leaving NE razor thin there as well. Heavy public action is obviously on DAL here, but w/the advantages all across the board for DAL, they’re prob on the rt side this wk. This is a very simple case of DAL expecting to win both sides of the trenches & a far superior “O”. Only DAL themselves can lose this gm.
