Thank goodness ATL allowed yet another 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half comeback to extend my POW streak to 4 gms. Amazingly 2 other great comebacks (CLE’s was historic) allowed me to have a perfect slate, except for my vaunted teaser.

POW 4-1, Teasers 1-4, Overall 11-11-1

ATL (-3) has been atrocious on the rd esp in the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Q. They blew leads there @ MIN then NYG. @ hm they’ve played much better albeit vs their weak div. Enter CHI who also blew a 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Q lead of their own last wk @ CAR. Trestman’s “O” has taken a bit of a hit w/LT Bushrod out. Cutler was sacked 4 times vs CAR & threw 2 picks. Cutler still had a nice day passing, but mostly due to short passes to Forte who led the team in receiving (12 rec’s; 105 yds). ATL may get some blitz pressure on Cutler @ hm where they do play a little better. I’m definitely not relying on ATL’s “D” here to get the win, as they rank near the bottom in almost every “D” category. However, the only other team to have as big & talented WRs as CHI would be ATL. White & Jones are matchup nightmares for any secondary, let alone CHI’s banged up one. Ryan should have an easy go here as CHI has multiple injuries on “D” highlighted by Lance Briggs being out. Devin Hester apparently has motivation vs his old team due to playing time issues in his final yrs there. That combined w/RB Antone Smith’s explosive plays could lead to some long TD’s for ATL. There’s little doubt that CHI should score some pts here, but I don’t see many ways CHI’s “D” will have much success vs a motivated team that is under intense scrutiny due to their slow start to the season. HC Mike Smith is coaching for his job & this would effectively be their last hm gm until 6 wks from now! Ryan still owns an incredible 38-10 SU record @ hm.

CHI 27
ATL 38
4 Units

BOL to all, and as always comments are most welcome.

Honorable Mentions:

1 Unit CLE -1: Major revenge gm for Browns as they fell just shy of another huge comeback in Wk 1 @ PIT. Hoyer has this team believing as CLE fans are beginning to say “Johnny Who?” Tate is back & Hoyer has found another fav WR in Taylor Gabriel. W/PIT losing to TB then struggling @ JAX, they’re ripe for the picking in an emotional gm for CLE.

1 Unit MIA +2 1/2: Not quite a homer gm as a cold weather team heads down to MIA, who’re off a bye, w/a HC that was GB’s OC for 4 yrs, & getting 3 key starters back in the lineup (Moreno, Pouncey & Reshad Jones). GO PHINS!

1 Unit JAX +4: Yet another upset special for me as JAX had PIT on the ropes but their very young starters couldn’t quite complete an entire gm against a veteran team. Now they face a plummeting TEN team who’re back to Whitehurts @ QB. JAX normally plays TEN tough anyway, & now they have a perfect chance @ their 1[SUP]st[/SUP] win of the yr.

1 Unit ARI -3: ARI would’ve been my POW, but injury to Calais Campbell gave me pause. ARI always plays well @ hm however & struggling WAS is coming all the way west for this key gm for ARI. “D” should have a much easier time after seeing Peyton & co last wk.

1 Unit Wormy Teaser:

DEN +3
SD +6
DAL +22 1/2
ARI +9 1/2

Atlanta was on my lean list along with the over in that game. Your prediction of the final score suggests a high scoring game.

Great job on the POW game and best of luck this week my friend.

Thanks United! I didn't get to see your thread this wk. I'll stop by rt after this. I'm a little worried about how ATL's "D" will fair, but if they can just make a few extra stops over CHI's "D", this should be a runaway!

HAHA! The game's afoot, Trebek... I'm a little concerned about Haden & Kruger injuries but at least both are playing today. I've had some great luck w/CLE these yr, Gravy! I think they pull it off!

Amazing collapse in ATL. 7 dropped passes & Ryan was hit way too much. "D" did as well as I expected but ATL WRs & oline really let the team down. I think Mike Smith might get fired this wk. CHI secondary is decimated & ATL did not take advantage. 13 pts. Even JAX scored more.

Rest of plays did great except MIA who gave Aaron Rodgers 2 free timeouts on 4th down & then at the goal line w/10 sec left in gm. MIA coaches just aren't interested in winning.

Teaser finally hit but only after I reduce it down to 1 unit.
