4-0! Ain’t gonna lie, that was much needed. PIT performed beautifully, aided by the injury to starting QB Jones. Ben comes in & simply throws for 350 yds. CAR dominated TEN while MIA picked up a very ugly win @ PHI (knocking out Bradford in the process).

POW 5-4-1, Teasers 3-3, Overall 24-23-1

ATL (-5) is off their much-needed bye as they get players back from injury as well as regroup from a 2 gm losing streak. The biggest return I think will help is WR Hankerson. He’s #3 on depth chart, but he was Ryan’s safety blanket outside of Julio. He was excited to talk about his return to practice when asked by reporters about “Hank.” Most important for ATL off their bye is time to correct serious issues that have cost them their last 4 gms. Penalties, “O” TO’s & redzone production. The return of Hankerson & IND’s below avg “D” should help in the last 2. HC Quinn worked on reducing penalties over the bye. Luck amazingly pulled out a huge win over rival DEN despite a lacerated spleen. In comes 40 yr old Hasselbeck, who is 2-0 as a starter this yr. However, those were vs HOU & JAX, & were narrow victories @ that. ATL’s so-so “D” should be enough to contain Gore & Hasselbeck, who should be relying heavily on short passes. Even if IND’s “O” gets going, ATL’s struggling “O” can take advantage of IND’s suspect secondary. Vontae Davis has been nice, but Toler on the other side has been a liability @ times. I think that’s where Hank & Roddy can make some plays. Julio may get back to his homerun ways w/play-making S Mike Adams out for the gm. DT Henry Anderson will be a big loss for IND’s dline. Robert Mathis is starting to gain steam, but Anderson was a key cog in stuffing the run & taking up blockers. This should translate to more time for Ryan’s deep ball & get Devonta Freeman back on track after getting shutdown by SF. Both teams are in hunt for PO spots making this gm important for both. But I feel w/ATL’s “O” & “D” much healthier from their last 2 gms while IND is limping in off a huge win, ATL can continue their hm dominance. Matt Ryan has also won his last 4 gms off the bye (ATS & SU).

IND 20
ATL 30
4 Units

Honorable Mentions:

1 Unit MIA +1: MIA returns hm off a difficult 3 gm rd trip, but w/a much-needed win @ PHI. Romo returns for DAL, but he will be rusty. Throw in potential thunderstorms, & this should be a gm won on the ground. McFadden is nursing a groin injury & Suh has performed well against DAL’s oline. DAL should have to wait 1 more gm to get off their 7 gm slide.

1 Unit STL +3 @ -120: Case Keenum is in for STL which should give their “O” a spark, considering how bad some of Foles’ passes have been. Gurley will be the workhorse against a very uninspired BAL “D”. BAL is rudderless w/no leadership on the field thanks to injuries. STL adds to their woes as they try to keep up w/ARI in the NFC West.

1 Unit MIN -1: Really wanted to make this my POW as MIN has been a spread darling, losing only their 1[SUP]st[/SUP] gm @ SF. But I’m still not sold on Bridgewater, & it’s tough to see Rodgers going 0-4. But there are reasons for GB’s slide, the utmost being their WR’s not getting separation & an apparent injury to Rodgers. MIN’s “D” is legit & they should have crazy motivation to finally beat their hated rival & maintain their div lead. AP should pace the “O” which have been just good enough.

1 Unit SD +3: Big hunch here as SD is off their bye & KC has been humming. This series has always been tight, & w/SD’s oline getting healthier, I feel Rivers can control this gm. Gordon is looking to finally show fans he was worth 1[SUP]st[/SUP] rd pick. SD DB Jason Verrett is quietly becoming a shutdown corner, which should take away 1 of Alex Smith’s 3 weapons (Maclin).

1 Unit ARI -4 ½: Hopefully this isn’t overreaction to CIN’s awful showing @ hm against a terrible HOU “D”. But they’re off a short wk, now needing to travel to ARI where a highly motivated Palmer awaits. Keys here will be the health of WRs Brown & Floyd for ARI. Brown is likely to play, but Floyd is 50-50. ARI “D” have enough horses in secondary to contain AJ & Eifert, & their run “D” should be able to corral Gio & Hill. May put more here if ARI’s WRs play.

What, not Miami?!! Lol.

Yeah, ATL doesn't really thrill me as their "D" has been steadily regressing, & their "O" was starting to look awful. I'm hoping they cleared all that up over their bye.

BOL my friend. :toast:

Good luck today Worm!! I'm riding the Phins again!! Great week last week!
Thanks Jax!! Let's go PHINS!!!
No 4 team tease?.....i look forward to those
Even w/how bad they've been recently? I've decided until I really really like 4 teams to not get blown out or upset, will I post one. Obviously I have a lot of strong leans today, but none where I'd be confident to put 4 of them together w/13 pts. Wk to wk my friend. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts.

Ouch. Black Sunday. Followed up a perfect wk w/another perfect wk, the other way.

Boy ATL just cannot get out of their own way. Missed FG, INT in endzone, fumble, penalties... And their "D", although performing poorly themselves, got INTs off Hasselbeck for their "O" but ATL still couldn't take advantage. Freeman getting concussion definitely didn't help either. It's scary to play them or against them. If they put together a gm where they don't screw themselves, they're going to blow out teams.

MIN is not ready for national TV. Seems as though when they have a marquee matchup on TV they falter. GB dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of ball, & it showed in the score. Just needed 1 more TD from the "O" for my teaser. It was not to be. What an awful day.

I've been visiting my grandkids and haven't had a whole lot of time to respond to threads. I had a terrible week last week. You know it happens no matter how much time and effort we spend trying to find winners. I know you will bounce back next week.
