Sigh. I capped PHI correctly, but unfortunately ATL coaching torpedoed the night. I learned that play-calling will be an issue, again, & Julio not practicing will also contribute to some close losses. In-gm injuries didn’t help, & Julio’s 50 yd non-catch definitely didn’t help, but ATL lost this gm the same way they lost the SB. 15 carries by their talented duo of RBs is not going to cut it.

Regular Season POW 10-7, Teasers 10-7, GOY 1-0, Overall 45-27-1.

2018 Regular Season: 0-1
HOU +6: NE is off a tremendous loss in one of the more entertaining SBs in recent memory. Like most SB participants, NE lost a handful of key players. Brady lost WRs Brandin Cooks & Amendola, who had a combined 162 catches in the reg season & POs. Longtime blindside protector Nate Solder is now in NY. 1[SUP]st[/SUP]rd pick Michel is hurt & #1 WR Edelman is suspended. As I’ve written here many times, Brady is critically tied to the success of his oline. And w/Solder gone, newly acquired Trent Brown will need to step in @ LT as 1st rd pick Isaiah Wynn is out for the yr w/an ACL injury.RT Marcus Cannon is nursing a bad calf, so the bookends for Brady could be a problem, esp lining up against the likes of Watt, Mercilus & Clowney. Since O'Brien became coach the Patriots are 4-0 SU (1-3 ATS) against the Texans. However, their last matchup had Brady sacked 5 times w/a fumble return TD on one of them, in a wild 36-33 win @ NE. This was Deshaun Watson’s 1[SUP]st[/SUP]gm as a rookie & was w/out Will Fuller (questionable as of now). NE will also be w/out Cooks, who had 2 TDs w/130 yds in that gm. HOU’s secondary is solid, led by big FA signee Aaron Colvin & Tyron Mathieu. Throw in that fierce pass rush & HOU’s secondary could make plays against Brady. Gronk will definitely be a problem, but if HOU can limit the damage to just him they should win easily. James White is the x-factor along w/how much NE can get out of injured Rex Burkhead. The loss of DC Patricia cannot be overlooked either. It usually takes a few seasons for Belicheat to overcome longtime coordinators leaving. Finally, SB losers in the following 1[SUP]st[/SUP]wk of the season is an astounding 2-16 ATS.
