Well, ATL & HC Dan Quinn blew up my well-capped SB by dropping Ryan back to pass early & often to allow NE in the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half to nickel & dime their way with great runs by James White, to take it all in OT. Up to that pt, I was perfect in POs. Sigh. But, new season means new dreams. I’m super excited for yet another NFL season & will start it off as usual w/the opening pick.
2016 Regular Season: POW 10-5-2, Teasers 11-6, Overall 43-28-3 (44-29-3 undocumented), GOY 0-1.
2016 POs: SB: 0-1, POW 2-0, Overall 4-3 (POW 3-0, Overall 6-3 undocumented).
1 Unit KC +8 ½: NE is hot off said SB victory & talk of 19-0 began in earnest before preseason even started. Obviously NE players & coaches are having none of that talk & are saying all the rt things. KC is off a very good yr themselves finishing 12-4 & taking the AFC West crown. Misfortune has hit both teams this preseason however as KC lost their starting tailback Spencer Ware & NE lost key players in all 3 phases of the gm. Edelman’s injury will be felt not only on “O” but on STs as well. There NE lost 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] yr return man Cyrus Jones. They will now need to rely on Amendola to return punts & if he fumbles or gets hurt, likely recently re-signed Bolden or Dorsett will have to fill in. NE was relying on their 1[SUP]st[/SUP] pick Derek Rivers to bolster their depleted dline, but he too was lost for the season. Combine that w/LB Hightower & DT Branch missing all of preseason on the PUP list & KC will have some success on the line of scrimmage. Rookie Kareem Hunt was really high on my fantasy football radar & believe he can carry the load w/West filling in on certain downs. Tyreek Hill likes to perform in primetime, so I’m looking for him to also have a good gm. NE’s “O” is still formidable & their record @ hm is near perfect. But at 8 ½ pts, Andy Reid has proven he can hang w/Belicheat (last matchup in POs, ’16 was a NE win 27-20).
