In November 2006, Robert and Steven Levine pleaded guilty to conduct an illegal gambling business in Maryland. The sportsbook operation was initially known as Sports International 2000 and later became part of World Wide Wagering.

World Wide Wagering named in the indictment of Howard Meyers, a US resident accused of operating an illegal sports gambling ring in Maryland.

worldwidewagering moved from San Jose, Costa Rica to Panama City, Panama at the end of 2007.
