Lederer, Hanson, Helmuth, Scotty, Duke, Liebert ( Railbird's pick ), Juanda, Greenstein, Negreanu are just some of the players already out with 31 players left in action. Anyone trying to bet on a poker tourney ought to stick with 10 team FB parlays instead.... better odds and more of a chance to win.
The "luck" factor is so huge in poker that in order to bet on one particular player to win, the odds would have to be huge.
I would argue that the skill difference between the big name players is minor and the skill difference between the worst player in the tournament and the "best" is large but luck can even the odds on any one particular hand.

The "luck" factor is the reason that the odds on the WSOP I've seen posted are a total joke. Is it Bodog that has some players listed at 10-1 to win? If so, anyone that plays there is a total idiot. Moneymaker went straight uphill several times against the better hand and won last year. The list of players already gone at the Bellagio WPT event show how high the odds should be on winning a world class event.
