Easy to decipher who you were supporting. lol. Iniesta should have been sent off...are you serious!!! Might as well point out that Robben blatantly kicked the ball away after being called offside.
Yes, I'm serious. And yes, the Netherlands should have been without De Jong, van Bommel and Robben, still doesn't change a thing about Puyol having to be sent off, Iniesta having to be sent off and that Mathijsen/Robben were the only players, who received cards for complaining (rightfully so, esp. Robben), when Spain had constantly 4 guys swarming the ref after every whistle to complain and try talking him into cards.

Yes, I stated several times that I'm a supporter of the Netherlands, but I didn't like their overly aggressive style of play last Sunday. They were lucky to only have one player sent off and their ugly fouling was a shame.
But it still drives me mad, when I see guys like Iniesta going down after every slight contact and their diving, complaining and calling for cards is just unsportsmanlike. And that not only applies to Iniesta and Spain, but also to Robben.

It's just sad to see that level of sportsmanship displayed on such a stage...
And to finish that: Neither team did much to earn a championship in that particular game, Spain had more possession and played better, NED had the better scoring opportunities in regulation time thanks to Robben, but in the end Spain outplayed most of their opponents and earned that title...

Agree with nearly everything. However I would say that the referee caused much of the diving and complaining of the Spanish. If you see your team mate kicked in the chest and others repeatedly being fouled without the right punishment being given, then sooner or later you will take it into your own hands. Of course this does not justify the diving, but I can understand why it happened. I feel the dutch brought it on to themselves with their style of play, and so did the dutch guys that I spoke to after the game.
