10* Brewers -1.5.......-130
Bush is 2-0, 1.77 in his last three starts.
Duke is 0-6, 9.14 in his last eight starts.
MILWAUKEE is 5-1 (+3.9 Units) against PITTSBURGH this season
Pittsburgh at Milwaukee, 8:05 ET
Zach Duke (L) vs. Dave Bush (R)
Duke: 1-10 TSR on Friday
Bush: 19-6 TSR at home
Pirates: Duke was hit hard for six runs on nine hits in his last start, against the Mets. The lefty still has not won since June 9. He said he has tried a variety of things to shake up this unfortunate streak, but nothing has worked. Opponents swing freely against Duke, and he rarely gets swings and misses. He'll try to go for win No. 5 against the Brewers.
Brewers: Bush's performance may have been lost amid the drama of the Brewers' see-saw win Saturday at Dodger Stadium, but he pitched a gem. Matt Kemp doubled leading off the first inning against Bush and Andre Ethier followed with a home run for a quick 2-0 lead, but Bush then blanked the Dodgers on three more hits through the seventh. Left fielder Gabe Kapler tumbled into the stands to deny the Dodgers a home run in Bush's last inning of work, and he was briefly in line for the win when shortstop J.J. Hardy hit a two-run homer in the eighth. Instead, Bush settled for a no-decision and his seventh outing of at least seven innings in his past 10 starts.
