I have a problem with the assessment of the Lakers having two of the top 15 (Shaq/Kobe) of all time. Not sure Shaq is a top-15 player, and Kobe was not an all-time player when the Lakers won those titles. Besides, Kobe hasn't won a title without Shaq.

shaq is the most dominant player we've seen since jordan
how many players can boast a 3-peat?

same case can be made for jordan. how many titles has he won without pippen? pippen alone took the bulls to the ECF.

you may not want to say it, but even players from the 90s are saying kobe is the closest thing to jordan...and if you're close to jordan, you're probably in the top 15.

I never said anything about Payton - I just don't see him as much of an improvement over Paul, Williams, Nash, Billups or Parker - assuming Parker, Paul and Williams continue on the same pace - you think Gary Payton is significantly better than these guys or in the same class? - to me - throw all six in a bag and pick and you'll be fine with whatever pick you get - sure Payton may have done it longer - and Nash and Billups are leaps and bounds better than their early careers - but they're all exceptional players but not players that win rings unless they play on a stacked team

Jason Kidd is another - in his prime - I don't care for him but many consider him one of the best ever.

In his prime Gary Payton would shit on any of these players. I watched him in Seattle his entire career and he was one of the best PG's I've ever seen. He'd hit a jumper on you, lock you down on defense and then he'd tell you all about it. Comparing Deron Wiliams or Chauncey Billups to Payton is comical.

We'll see when Kobe's career is over. About Shaq - I consider Russell, Jabbar and Wilt better than him. Right there he probably doesn't make the top-15.

He's also somewhere behind the CENTER for the Spurs wearing #21

I'd rather have all the guys you just mentioned over Payton - you forgot Nash and Billups though - it was war beating Payton and his Sonics

Anyone who would take Billups or Parker over Payton needs a drug test. That is absurd.

Melo should shut the fuk up and start to act like a PRO and maybe start to improve his game during the offseason..he is talented and must play both ends of the court...

I don't care if they deserved to make the playoffs or not - not every 8 seed would have been swept; the Warriors would have won at least 1 if not 2 games. Obviously they didn't deserve to make hte playoffs, if they did they would still be playing

Denver was the 1st 50 win team to get swept in round one
