Well I have been off for some time and am hoping to pull a few decent winners tonight. I took a swing at last nights card on 4 races and hit one good Tri for $380 and a matching ex at $50. A couple winners rounded it out but overall I found the field to be a little off. Closers were having a hell of a time on a track that usually lends itself to closers. If there is somethng that I am missing please fill me in!

Anyway, let's post a few and maybe get some input before I lay bets tonight - I am doing it online this evening

Heavier Tri bets will depend on how things go early. If I am waaaay off then I may relax and lengthen my pockets.

Race1: TurnPike Token.
Should be the class here but need to watch the tote and see if it's worth the bet.
I think that Fatal Embrace#2 could take the win here and Lesterstrikesagain will also contend.

Race5: 10 horse field and well contested. Rye&Water should take chalk out of the 10 hole and rightfully so. Nevertheless I think he can be beat and therefore give me some better value here.
#4 Red Star Tex is one of my favourites who happens to be climbing the class ladder and doing well. "I've Got Life" should also give a good run if the #1 hole isn't a problem .

Very tough field here and I expect some chalk that cannot be left out of the mix
#2 Tycoon Hanover - Should handle this step up and I am guessing early that the public will be hitting him hard.
Somewhere in my head I am being told to play the dropper - #1 Westcoast Man" A very poor finish in the Willowdale Series could be blamed on having to run against Pronger at a very fast pace. This group shouldn't press him and I expect a healthy price.
I expect CC and #7 "Living Well to be there as well

I am torn between E Merg Ng #5 and a horse that I cannot underestimate #2 KnotinmyKnickers (could have speed that may fool me)
Copeland Dan is very capable and I suspect will take wagering. I don't think he has been quite right in a while though.

Race 1 :

5-2-7-4 - no idea where #5 came from but up to that last explosion, we were looking good.
Decent payoff on Fatal Embrace for the Place/show.


Race 2 -

Mystic maurader and Durin Hanover are both sitting at attractive odds. If that holds, I will be looking to throw something their way. I think this field is closely matched and war bonds should not be 1-1 !

4-5-10-2. red Star was great wins by 9 lengths! but as you pointed out Rye was the play at those odds. He was third and shuffled back and never clear to run still almost got 2nd anyway.

Damn. hate to have the right horse but the value play was the Rye.

He got a very poor drive by Condren. Boxed in at the 3/4 and had plenty of horse atthe end to manage a 3rd!
Terrible.
He got in position from the 10 hole at the start and all for nothing

I knew Red was the man but Rye would have been there and value was great

that 1 is stunning right now at 70-1 but the early money has the #2 at 1-9 he will go off around 3-5 or so Id think. so the #1 will come down to about 20-1 Id think, lets see!
