Wonder what Michigan folks think about Richie Rod now?

From everything you read and hear he was given a raw deal at UM, so many in the program working against him, etc.. i am sure we all heard the same things. It has to hurt seeing what he has done in the desert and they chose brady hoke.. this may be one of the worse hires ever, the guy is just bad. Seems like a really good person, but just in over his head at UM and maybe anywhere else..

Big decision UM has to make, I am really curious to see what direction their search will go..I think they will act fast, losing to many recruits.

I wonder if Michigan will consider hiring another guy named Bo?

I heard they looked at McElwain first but the buyout was too pricey, which is a mistake to think that way. Too much money involved now to worry about 7 mil.

Michigan made a big mistake and their arrogance to hire a "Michigan Man" is biting them in the ass. Not sure what they are waiting for to can Hoke. But that should have happened in October!

There are a ton of rumors around the UF job. Freeze would make me happy, but not sure it's in the cards.

McElwain's buyout is $7.5 million....Muschamp's is over $6 million....Roper (the OC) is $1.2 million....plus several assistant coaches were on guaranteed contracts (for about another $500K). So, adding the $7.5 million to the buyouts is pricey. Not sure if Foley (who's know for being tight) is willing to do that.

Also, other than Jimbo Fisher what other Saban assistant has had success? Dooley - Fired. Muschamp - Fired. Bobby Williams - Fired. McElwain was only there a few years under Saban. I like him, but I'm not sure I like him for that price. There are other options. I like Hudspeth more.

Freeze would be good, he did a heck of a job at ole miss.... my prediction for the Gators is a longshot but i think they may make a push to get chip kelly back in to college ball from the nfl..

It is easy to forget now because of RR's success and Hoke's demise but those RR teams at UM were epically bad and it was not all because a lack of support. He did a horrible job prepping his team and had zero in game adjustments. His defenses were the worst in the history of the school and could not stop MAC level talent. 0-6 vs MSU and OSU and none of the games were even close.

RR is having an amazing year and the Oregon win was huge however he needed an absolute miracle vs Cal with a recovered on onside kick and last second Hail Mary and UW gifted them a win when they pulled a Mike Smith and decided to run the ball with 1:30 to go instead of take 3 kneel downs and punt it away with 10 seconds left. UA should not have won that division but give credit to RR in the Oregon win and making them a contender in the PAC-12.
