I found one of the best bets of my life a few years ago in women's b-ball...
Uconn was facing St.Francis....first round game.....line started at -62, got bet down to -59....I took the 59 points and StFrancis.....hell, it was an opening round game, simple logic says Uconn gets up a bunch and the starters get pulled for round two......Uconn won by 39 and never came close to covering that insane number.
I talked to gamblers who normally bet college football, when I talked about that game and the 62 points they thought I was talking about a game total.
That game helped out a bunch, just wish the betting limits were higher when they hung that bad line. It'll be years or decades before I find another game that I feel that strong about.
It isn't so much about betting these off sports, it's about finding really bad lines that you can hammer. If it really looks like a winner and can put some coin in your pocket who really cares what sport it is?
Some of those same gamblers that I know that bet football with their local guy laugh when I first mention about betting these off sports, they just don't get it in terms of that last paragraph I wrote. But then again I remind myself that these are the same guys who get their lines from the newspaper, when they get their sheet they're betting into -1 -1 games where both teams are favored, more games are circled.....they've never had an offshore account to know the advantages and ease of wagering anytime you want and as soon as the lines are posted. Anymore I'd just as soon talk to some of the guys on the forum, it's a lot easier talking to people with open minds than the rigid footballers found down at the local bar.
