Besides TheRx`s infamous "Iden-titty" lol

I don`t recall ever seeing a woman tout, many women love sports, and I know a large portion of the online-casino action is from the 'other' gender lol...

MrsCheater who posts here as Cheater#1`s wife claims to be a sports gambler...We shall see as she is entered in a monitored NBA Challenge in the NBA forum...

Anyone know of any? Could be interesting.

My girlfriend won the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF NFL HANDICAPPING for women at BALLYS 5 years ago.

She hit over 60% picking EVERY game against the spread.

The win was good for airfare for two to the Superbowl, tickets to the game, 3 nights hotel, and $1500 spending money.

We flew to the game in Miami and she sold the tickets for $5000.

Barbara Nathan has written a few sports wagering book, not sure how good she is with selections though. If I recall she claimed she won some titles handicapping.

There are a few more obscure services run by women. They aren't overly advertised as the over the top touts are obviously a male dominated thing. They do decent work, but nothing much different than a number of services that operate out of Vegas, certainly nothing that would cause people to jump on their offerings. Barbara Nathan is probably the most famous, but her notoriety was from back in the early and mid 80s I believe. I met Katie Bahr back in the early 90s, she was quite knowledgeable and sophisticated in her methods that we talked about, but I haven't heard anything about her in recent years.

On the other hand, there are many VERY knowledgable professional women video poker players.....as well as live players.

Katie has since retired since the death of her partner John Hodges. I was working with them in the finals stages of his life until he passed away. Katie has since gone off with family in the NW, then to Cali before settling down at last word in Texas...

She definitely knew her stuff and kept notes on everything..was a pleasure to see how she handicapped games and even more exciting when she won.

I read a Barbara Nathan book back in college during the '80s, was about NBA percentages?

LV has some female Sportsbook Managers & Supervisors, as I remember one at DI & SuperHilton.

There is a mover of a different chromosome.

I've known a few local female BMs that did well.

And I know of a large trust fund female player(buys good picks), and another real estate mini-mogul that makes calculated large plays in football.

All are very smart business wise, but not exceptional cappers of per say a Barbara Garzarelli on Wall Street..in being able to single out Large pocket plays.

I'm a female handicapper, but I only play horses. I placed my first ever sports bet on this year's Superbowl. Bet $5 and won $13, LOL! I like to watch sports, but I'm not too good at handicapping them! And sports betting seems confusing to me, I don't know what juice or dimes or vig means! I love the horses though, my grandfather was a horseplayer and used to take me to the "zoo" alot as a child! Except that zoo only had horses in it! The first thing I did when I turned 18 was visit the OTB. Now I'm 35 and still love it! I've always used either OTB or onshore wagering outlets liked youbet, xpressbet, and tvg. But lately I've been doing some reading up on some of these other good betting offshore books! I opened an account at Oasis a month ago and have been having alot of fun with them, but they don't have daily doubles, pick 3's and pick 4's! I also opened accounts at Pinnacle and TCbets, but am still trying to figure out how to use Neteller! Everytime I open an account, and try to log in, they tell me that I have exceeded the number of login tries and they have temporarily closed my account. I've got to call customer service tomorrow!

This is a great forum, I've been a lurker for a while and everyone seems so nice and friendly on this board!

I dont know of many Men that are good handicappers. Mary Carillo has an excellent tennis opinion. I think girls would have an advantage with intuition.

Women have good instincts on big games, and are usually smarter than most men in smelling the fix, in my experience around them.

I agree with Rail, on pure intuition, they are more in tune than the average male, and can often read their man's body language, as to tell of whether you are gonna win or should pass on certain days..they often know whether you are right or not to be in action.

Welcome JeanneS!

I think women's skill in capping is at least as good as men's, but what they lack is self-confidence. This is what I have observed anyway.

Sorry but lets agree to disagree here, enough of the warm fuzzy stuff men. Women are extremely emotional, hysterical, and rarely centered long enough to make rational decisions required for longterm grinding of a bankroll. Don't even get me started on poker, show them your hand after you bluffed them out and they will chase you for a month trying to check raise you. I'm an average poker player and would live like a king if locked on an island with the 50 best female poker players in the world. 'Nuff said.

Patrick,

I don't think there's any doubt that the world's best cappers are men. But I think it's just as plainly evident that the world's worst cappers are also men, and so on average it evens out. That's the way I see it anyway, and it doesn't contradict what you are saying.
