It seems like life after Mark Madsen's departure to Cal is starting to get figured out.. his right hand man Todd phillips took over a team essentially losing all their top contributors from last years regular season WAC champ. Starting off near the basement of the WAC at 4-8 they have rattled off 4 blowout winners.. and now get a rematch game with a team they took down to the wire and was within 1 point with a minute forty left in nachodoches, this Stephen F Austin team is not the same one they envisioned start of the year.. their best player Hall is out for the year coupled with starting guard Cajuste and leading assist man also being lost for the year. I don't see this makeshift lineup, lacking some key depth being able to go into altitude and Orem and winning. Utah valley's top guard Drake Allen is coming off a game where he ended with a goose egg, but also is averaging 7 assist per game last 7.. I think he's poised for a bounceback and Ethan Potter a backup forward getting no minutes has hit double figures in scoring last 5 games averaging nearly 17 and 7 off the bench.. give me utah valley to win and cover.
