wk 3 - Oak, Giants, Philly

Havent pulled the trigger yet but I like oakland and the giants at home - and philly in detroit...

Oakland -3 -120 this price sucks but at the 3 I think I'd go with it considering gruden is in a little mess and oakland has the tools to take care of him.

Philly at -4.5 -103 seems like a great deal considering how strong they look. I need more info on detroit though, to see if they might actually be as good as their record. Doubtful though.

Giants -3 -109 This is playing with fire I know but its amazing to me how bad garcia has been. Thats the way the giants need him to play because their secondary is aweful. However as much as I am down on kurt warner all the time - I did see some promising things out of him last week. If tiki can keep the fumbles to a minimum they probably have a good chance here.

Hey there Jaypaw...I think Philly is a very good play this week...Det has a few injuries and I'm betting that Reid will have his team focused and ready to play. I see a lot of pressure in Harrington's face this week from the Philly "D" which hopefully will cause some mistakes. Harrington seems to get rattled and out of his game when he's being pressured a lot. I love Andy Reid as a coach and see no Monday night letdown here UNLIKE the Pack did last week....I'm on Philly!

agree with fish on this one. besides the public being on them, you are asking philly to cover more than a field goal coming off a short week and going into a noisy dome against a team that is 2-0 and starting to believe in themselves.

How is brunell? I dont like the fact that he recovered "sufficiently"... but enough to start tonight.

I also dont like Gibbs's attitude when he says:

Arrington is out also - which really sucks. And vinny testicles has been gettting tons of yards. Wish I had him on a fantasy team tonight.

TAKING Dallas

Im doing a john kerry here and after getting my research down I'm going with parcells:


I bought the half a point in case this one gets hairy with the weather - but overall I dont think it should be a deciding factor.

Brunell is ailing and though he might come out 95% I can gaurentee he wont be lighting it up and that will only increase over time during the game.

Sure he has some targets but so does dallas. With a healthy and confident Vinny Testicles there is no way to make the case that he will do worse than Brunell in his condition.

Initially I liked the washington D but realized that with the injuries they have to deal with (arrington & co) they arent the same defense and though they may be vulnerable - even if you make it a wash then there are still more positives for dallas than for washington...
