A secluded mountain, with a girl or 2 lol... or by myself. Hunt, fish, grow crops. Live a healthy life style secluded from world paranoia and suffering, surrounded by animals and vast vegetation. Hopefully rivers or sea nearby.

No electricity would be rough, but maybe better.

Arizona or Texas

Texas? Might be a little too humid for me in the east part of the state in the summer.

AZ is solid. 5 months out of the year in the PHX area is brutal though. The other 7 months is awesome.

Lots of great places in Northern AZ. Flagstaff. Prescott. Payson. Show Low. All great mountain communities with 4 seasons.

To be honest with you....I been to better places for me at least.

I been around a bit the U.S. that is....3 places I enjoyed while visiting.

1-Houston,Texas
2-Charleston,S.C.
3-Scottsdale,Arizona

I`ll take those 3 places over New York and California any day.

Yeah, family in AZ. Been there probably 20 times now. Like Peoria and Scottsdale. Don't mind the heat at all.

LOL. I work in one, and live in the other.

Love AZ. But the heat is getting to me. I get so envious every time I make the drive to San Diego in the summer.

Miramar Beach Florida, between Destin and Panama City on the FL Panhandle.

Lived in AZ my whole life, and been to Florida many times. And in my opinion... PHX at 108 degrees in June >>> Anywhere in Florida at 93 degrees in June. I hate humidity.

I retired last month and still thinking about Vegas. Love the food and gambling there but not sure about the heat and being isolated in the desert. Currently fixing up my house to put on the market then go out to Vegas for a week to look at housing prospects.

Lived in Nebraska my whole life, no better place to raise a family.

I will have a 2nd house somewhere because as much as I love Nebraska, the winters can be brutal. I always thought a 2nd home in Phoenix but who knows by the time I retire.

But I will also travel the world. Once I got a taste of overseas travel I can't get enough of it.

Anyone that lists Houston is out of their F'ing mind. Hot, Humid, crime, pollution, I could go on etc,!! That or NO would be the LAST 2 in the USA I'd pick. For the guy that wants to be totaly "off the grid" Alaska is the place. Don't mind cold but it is a tad too much for me. 2 choices for me, I want streams & rivers, Misoula, or the Ozarks. A cabin in each! LOL

I'm looking at the Florida panhandle as well. I'm from the east coast of Florida, but want a change from that area. Possibly Gulf Shores, Alabama area too....but Florida has no state income taxes.
