Ouch! I didn't see it, but it makes me wonder if it was the terrible "Prevent Defense" that screwed it up. With less than a minute left in the game, did the defenders make a 100% effort for the stop- as a catch keeps the clock ticking.

Reminds me of losing at the end of basketball games because of a meaningless uncontested dunk or layup in the final seconds.##)

This doesn't do the beat justice.

Lane Kiffin had the game won, the cover in, and the ball on the MINN half of the field. Instead of taking a knee or just running dive plays, he sends the running back out wide in some attempt to pad his stats. He doesn't even run the clock down, keep in mind.

You guessed it. Fumble. Minnesota ball. Nothing to play for, pissed off at Lane, and aching to make it closer for their boosters, Minnesota gets a back door cover.

There were many other times USC messed up. This was in the bag.

yeah, but they don't make the picks public till after the games start, so if you're trying to tail someone, keep your fingers crossed that they're not playing a lot of early games

Damn, from 1st to 8th? This contest is hard to win. Was fortunate to have a 3rd place finish last season for $750. There are usually 10+ people who go 13-2 so the tiebreaker is crucial, and very unpredictable.

thanks guys....i misunderstood the tiebreaker myself, and it turns out, that just like in my college loss, that last drive by SanFran at end of game for score, cost me the win....if they stayed at 14, then i won it all......i thought they went by your total score prediction of the (2) teams together, but they go by home team first, and if its a tie there, then on to visitor.....now i see why people kept saying san fran under 16.......still happy to hit something, but to be so close......

best of luck on your games guys..

I finished 12-3, but got 11th on strength of predicting SF would get 24 points. $ 300 is nice bonus. The last drive cost you big bucsfan. Good luck the rest of the year.
