Suns (14-33) vs Knicks (22-26) – 7:30 PM- TV – Local Only
Line: Knicks -8.5 Over/Under: 204.5
Friday 1/29/2016 – Madison Square Garden

The Phoenix Suns will travel to New York, New York to visit the Knicks to play the third game of their four game road trip. The Suns have started this road trip 0-2 straight up and have lost 10 of their last 12 overall. The Knicks have lost four straight themselves including a 10 point loss in Toronto last night without Melo and Porzingis. The Knicks will now try avoid a five game losing skid as they the Warriors come into town on Sunday for their next contest.

The Suns are averaging 101.4 points per game (12th) and are allowing 106.9 to opponents (28th). The Suns are shooting 44.3% from the field (19th) and 37.1% from three point range (3rd). Defensively the Suns are allowing teams to shoot 47.5% from the field (30th) and 38.1% from three point range (29th). Eric Bledsoe leads the team averaging 20.4 points per game. Phoenix is 18-29 ATS overall and 10-17 ATS as an underdog. They are 7-17 ATS in road games and 4-13 ATS against teams with a losing record.

The Knicks are averaging 99.4 points per game (11th) and are allowing 101.3 to opponents (20th). The Knicks are shooting 44.1% from the field (22nd) and 33.7% from three point range (22nd). Defensively the Knicks are allowing teams to shoot 43.9% from the field (10th) and 33.4% from three point range (7th). Carmelo Anthony leads the team averaging 21.3 points per game. New York is 28-20 ATS overall and 8-7 ATS as a favorite. They are 13-10 ATS in home games and 11-10 ATS against teams with a losing record.

With the Warriors on deck one would think the Knicks may be looking ahead as they play the lowly Suns however the Knicks will not want enter that game on a five game losing streak. The Suns have been one of the worst teams in the NBA this season even losing to the 76ers. Things will not improve tonight all the way across the country especially if Carmelo Anthony and/or Kristaps Porzingis plays. If they do not play the results should be similar as the Suns just do not play any defense.

Free Pick: Knicks -8.5

NBA: 1-0 ATS

Spurs (39-7) vs Cavs (33-12) – 8:30 PM- TV – ABC
Line: Cavs +2 Over/Under: 204.5
Saturday 1/30/2016 – Quicken Loans Arena

The San Antonio Spurs will travel to Cleveland, Ohio to visit the Cavs after embarrassing the Rockets 130-99 on Wednesday. The Spurs seemed to have some built up aggression from their blow-out loss at the hands of the Warriors on Monday which snapped a 13 game winning streak. The Cavs took care of the Pistons last night in Detroit and will now seek their fourth straight win. The Cavs lost to the Spurs on January 14th 99-95 in San Antonio and the Cavs will look to return the favor.

The Spurs are averaging 104.5 points per game (13th) and are allowing 90.6 to opponents (1st). The Spurs are shooting 49.1% from the field (1st) and 38.8% from three point range (2nd). Defensively the Spurs are allowing teams to shoot 42.7% from the field (2nd) and 31.8% from three point range (2nd). Kawhi Leonard leads the team averaging 19.9 points per game. San Antonio is 31-15 ATS overall and 31-13 ATS as a favorite. They are 13-8 ATS in road games and 11-8 ATS against teams with a winning record.

The Cavs are averaging 101.8 points per game (22nd) and are allowing 96.2 to opponents (2nd). The Cavs are shooting 45.4% from the field (9th) and 35.6% from three point range (12th). Defensively the Cavs are allowing teams to shoot 44.4% from the field (12th) and 34% from three point range (9th). LeBron James leads the team averaging 24.8 points per game. Cleveland is 21-23 ATS overall and 4-1 ATS as an underdog. They are 10-11 ATS in home games and 13-6 ATS against teams with a winning record.

The public seems to be backing the Spurs and why not? The Spurs defeating the Cavs last time they met in San Antonio and while the Cavs played last night in Detroit, the Spurs have been idle since Wednesday. The Cavs are only 10-11 ATS at home but straight up they are 18-3 and while their overall ATS in not impressive they have been solid underdogs and have stepped up against teams above .500. LeBron and company will not want to go down against a potential NBA Finals team.

Warriors (43-4) vs Knicks (23-26) – 7:30 PM- TV – Local Only
Line: Knicks+10.5 Over/Under: 216.5
Sunday 1/31/2016 – Madison Square Garden

The Golden State Warriors will travel to New York, New York to visit the Knicks after barely escaping Philadelphia last night. The Warriors squeezed by the 76ers last night after a game winning buzzer beater. The Warriors will play the second of their three game, east coast road trip and have now won six straight. The Knicks took care of the Suns on Friday 102-84 and finally snapped a four game losing streak. This will be the second game of a three game home-stand for the Knicks.

The Warriors are averaging 115 points per game (1st) and are allowing 102.5 to opponents (15th). The Warriors are shooting 48.9% from the field (2nd) and 42.6% from three point range (1st). Defensively the Warriors are allowing teams to shoot 43% from the field (2nd) and 31.1% from three point range (1st). Stephen Curry leads the team averaging 29.7 points per game. Golden State is 27-18 ATS overall and 25-18 ATS as a favorite. They are 16-8 ATS in road games and 15-8 ATS against teams with a losing record.

The Knicks are averaging 99.5 points per game (12th) and are allowing 100.9 to opponents (20th). The Knicks are shooting 44.1% from the field (22nd) and 33.8% from three point range (22nd). Defensively the Knicks are allowing teams to shoot 43.9% from the field (9th) and 33.2% from three point range (7th). Carmelo Anthony leads the team averaging 21.2 points per game. New York is 29-20 ATS overall and 19-11 ATS as an underdog. They are 14-10 ATS in home games and 15-10 ATS against teams with a winning record.

The Warriors may have taken the 76ers lightly and got a rude awakening after almost losing. They will be ready to play against the Knicks tonight and they are 8-2 ATS in back-to-backs. The Knicks however are good underdogs and have been a decent home team although they are 6-6 ATS as a home underdog. The Knicks should be rested as the starters barely played in the 4th Quarter of their last contest on Friday. The Knicks have shown up against teams above .500, Carmleo and Porizingis will do whatever they can to get this team up for this match-up.

NBA Free Picks 2-1 ATS
Bulls (26-20) vs Jazz (21-25) – 9:00 PM- TV – Local Only
Line: Jazz -4 Over/Under: 193
Monday 2/1/2016 – Vivint Smart Home Arena

The Chicago Bulls will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah to visit the Jazz after getting whooped by the Clippers 120-93 last night in Los Angeles. The Bulls will play the third game of their long seven game road trip and are 1-1 straight up so far. The Jazz have not played since their 103-90 win over the Timberwolves at home on Friday. The Jazz will play the fourth game of their six game home-stand and are currently 2-1 straight up so far.

The Bulls are averaging 101.4 points per game (24th) and are allowing 101 to opponents (7th). The Bulls are shooting 43.4% from the field (25th) and 35.5% from three point range (14th). Defensively the Bulls are allowing teams to shoot 42.7% from the field (1st) and 33.4% from three point range (6th). Jimmy Butler leads the team averaging 22.4 points per game. Chicago is 18-28 ATS overall and 7-9 ATS as an underdog. They are 9-12 ATS in road games and 6-10 ATS against teams with a losing record.

The Jazz are averaging 97.7 points per game (30th) and are allowing 96.7 to opponents (3rd). The Jazz are shooting 44.4% from the field (18th) and 36.1% from three point range (8th). Defensively the Jazz are allowing teams to shoot 44.9% from the field (18th) and 36.8% from three point range (25th). Gordon Hayward leads the team averaging 19.8 points per game. Utah is 24-20 ATS overall and 13-8 ATS as a favorite. They are 14-8 ATS in home games and 8-8 ATS against teams with a winning record.

The Bulls have lost their backers a lot of money this season with that ATS record. They have not been good underdogs, they have struggled on the road and they don’t seem to show up against teams below .500. The Jazz have a decent overall ATS record and have capitalized as favorites and at home ATS. The Bulls are playing their third straight road game and just played last night while the Jazz have been off since Friday.

Celtics (27-22) vs Knicks (23-27) – 7:30 PM- TV – Local Only
Line: Knicks +2.5 Over/Under: 207
Tuesday 2/2/2016 – Madison Square Garden

The Boston Celtics will travel to New York, New York to visit the Knicks after losing in Orlando to a struggling Magic team 119-114. The Celtics hit a rough patch in the beginning of January but have since seemed to right the ship. Before their loss on Sunday the Celtics were riding a five game winning streak. The Knicks like most teams were embarrassed by Golden State on Sunday and have now lost five of their last six.

The Celtics are averaging 104.8 points per game (4th) and are allowing 100.7 to opponents (15th). The Celtics are shooting 43.6% from the field (24th) and 33.5% from three point range (25th). Defensively the Celtics are allowing teams to shoot 43.2% from the field (4th) and 32.3% from three point range (3rd). Isiah Thomas leads the team averaging 21.5 points per game. Boston is 26-22 ATS overall and 18-16 ATS as a favorite. They are 14-11 ATS in road games and 11-8 ATS against teams with a losing record.

The Knicks are averaging 99.4 points per game (12th) and are allowing 101.2 to opponents (21st). The Knicks are shooting 43.9% from the field (23rd) and 33.7% from three point range (23rd). Defensively the Knicks are allowing teams to shoot 44.1% from the field (11th) and 33.8% from three point range (8th). Carmelo Anthony leads the team averaging 21.3 points per game. New York is 29-21 ATS overall and 19-12 ATS as an underdog. They are 14-11 ATS in home games and 15-11 ATS against teams with a winning record.

The Celtics have played well recently aside from their loss to the Magic. The Knicks were able to rest most of their starters in the 4th quarter after basically getting destroyed in the second half by the Warriors. The Knicks have struggled as of late however they are 19-13 ATS against teams that allow 99 points or more per game and 21-12 ATS against teams that score 99 points or more per game. The Celtics are 5-6 ATS against division opponents, the Knicks are 6-3 ATS. The Celtics are 1-3 ATS on Tuesday nights, the Knicks are 6-0 ATS.

NBA Free Pick 3-2 ATS
Hawks (28-22) vs 76ers (7-41) – 7:00 PM- TV – Local Only
Line: 76ers +8.5 Over/Under: 206.5
Wednesday 2/3/2016 – Wells Fargo Center

The Atlanta Hawks will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to visit the 76ers after defeating the Mavs 112-97 at home. The win snapped a three game losing skid the Hawks were on however they are still only 2-5 straight up over their last seven games. The 76ers just fell short to the Warriors at home losing 108-105 on a game winning three pointer. The 76ers have not played since Wednesday and should be well rested.

The Hawks are averaging 101.8 points per game (8th) and are allowing 99.9 to opponents (16th). The Hawks are shooting 45.8% from the field (8th) and 34.1% from three point range (20th). Defensively the Hawks are allowing teams to shoot 44% from the field (8th) and 35.2% from three point range (16th). Paul Millsap leads the team averaging 17.8 points per game. Atlanta is 24-25 ATS overall and 19-18 ATS as a favorite. They are 11-14 ATS in road games and 10-13 ATS against teams with a losing record.

The 76ers are averaging 94.9 points per game (30th) and are allowing 105.1 to opponents (18th). The 76ers are shooting 43.4% from the field (28th) and 33.2% from three point range (26th). Defensively the 76ers are allowing teams to shoot 45.9% from the field (22nd) and 35.4% from three point range (17th). Jahlil Okafor leads the team averaging 17.3 points per game. Philadelphia is 22-25 ATS overall and 20-25 ATS as an underdog. They are 9-12 ATS in home games and 9-16 ATS against teams with a winning record.

While the 76ers have the worst overall record in the league, their ATS record is not so bad. Sure they are under .500 in every category but 22-25 ATS for a 7-41 team is not bad. The Hawks have been a good team however they have not covered on the road, they have been inconsistent as favorites and they don’t seem to get up for teams below .500. Despite beating the Mavs in their last contest the Hawks have struggled lately and this line on the road seems over inflated.

Free Pick: 76ers +8.5
