OMT - really not easy to stereotype 'wise guys' any more. These days there are all kinds of sharp bettors - many that just use post-up accounts spread throughout the internet. The older more veteran types still use plenty of credit accounts, some are "personals" direct credit accounts with offshore books, and other accounts are on sheets at different books. The other third type is the use of locals which is always credit. To answer your question imo agents still do a lot of business but the real wise guys have all kind of diversified means of moving money, in other words, they just don't meet on Tuesday at the bar to settle up...
