I personally think the winner of this game will go on to win the national championship. I'm going against the grain a little bit siding with Wisconsin. Below is some matchup information on the Badgers and Wildcats.

Opp FG pct..............393.............423
3pt FG pct...............386............390
Opp 3pt FG Pct........316.............313
3pt FG per gm.........7.6..............7.5

FT Pct.....................632............695

Another angle to consider is playing the UNDER for this game. The total opened at 133.5 and has been bet down to the 131, 131.5 range. Wisconsin is a slow team using 61.1 possessions per game this season, which ranks 346th among 351 teams in Division I.

Kentucky has played under 14 of 16 non-conference games.

That FT delta scares the shit out of me, thought Wisky was a much better FT shooting team than 63.2%. In a five point line, that's important.

I actually like the over quite a bit in this game. I'm waiting to see if this drops anymore. Wisky has played 4 teams that are ranked top 10 offensively. They have given up 1.2+ pts. per possession vs. them.

12/3: gave up 80 pts. vs. Duke
2/3: gave up 78 pts. vs. Indiana
3/26: gave up 72 pts. vs. UNC
3/28: gave up 78 pts. vs. Zona

The only thing that bugs me about this game is the court in Indy. I'm curious if the court raised above the bench is an issue as well as the shooter's back drop. It seems like when they played those regionals games in Houston that it had a big effect on shooting (raised court) and unders were golden. Gonzaga/UCLA, Duke/Utah, Duke/Gonzaga were easy unders by at least 10 pts. plus. The good thing is that I can watch the Michigan State/Duke game first and see if shooting is an issue (since that total is set in the high 130s).

I believe Kentucky is 9th in points per possession.

Like the under and Kentucky.

Kentucky got their scare. I see a low scoring game and Kentucky covering late.

I am staying away from this game.
I lean Wisconsin but their defense has been really bad.

Wisconsin defense has surrendered 1.14ppp to Coastal Carolina, 1.07ppp to Oregon, 1.20 to North Carolina, and 1.22 to Arizona.

Geez. Sorry to see that you have even a lean towards Wis. If the Cats come out and play like they did early in the season (revisited again vs. West Virginia) with the "eye of the tiger", nobody beats them. If they play like they did against ND, this will then become sadly, their last game.

Men, I owe the forum an apology. Other than the records, the numbers I posted above are for Michigan State/Duke...not Wisconsin/Kentucky. Somehow I got the list mixed up. Thank you Tmader7 for drawing this to my attention. I feel like a dumbass with the mix up.
Below are the correct stats for Wisconsin/Kentucky.

i'm all wisconsin here as in sept.i bought a ticket on them to win it all in vegas. They had practically their whole team back from the previous year which they lost to kentucky in the final four 74-73.What i didn't expect was kentucky to be this good but also a bit lucky as they could and should have lost 2 games.Kentucky is probably facing the best shooting team so far this year and yes i know notre dame shoots lights out from long range but if they don't hit their three's then they are usually in trouble, unlike wisconsin who has a good inside game to go with their outside game. Also wisconsin has 3 bigs inside to counter kentucky so this all leads to most likely a very good game and i expect wisconsin to come out on top this time.

good luck to everybody and i think the winner of this game wins the championship on monday night
