Winston and Hundley have perfect NFL size, Mariota's pretty solid too.

Hundley the best runner and improviser, Mariota solid, Winston a bit slow and less athletic.

Winston and Mariota better pocket passers, but Hundley has improved nicely in this area.

Winston and Hundley are great leaders, Mariota is quieter but still has a presence.

Winston and Hundley run more of the Pro set, but Mariota might be the best decision maker of the 3.

who would you take as of now?

most scouts had Mariotta #1 this year... not sure why that would change.. He fell out of the Heisman race mostly because he got injured and wasn't the same player afterwards... Being healthy next year should put him back on top.. With that being said, I like the other two QB's also, and better then anyone coming out this year..

Huntley is absolute garbage and will not be good in NFL. Not even that good in college. Overrated. I can see mariota being a Steve McNair type in the NFL, solid and long career but nothing special. Winston will be special.

agreed. if i'm the Texans, Jags, Minny, Oakland, i wouldn't take a QB with my 1st rounder and would try trading down to build in the trenches and secondary. at least 3 of those teams will be picking at the top again next year and can get better QB's then.

yea some damn good linemen are high on the draft boards this year.. I think the Bridgewater's, Manziel's, and Bortles value are later in the 1st rd..

Don't know what to make of Mariota and Oregon has produced suspect NFL Quarterbacks in the past as Akili Smith and Joey Harrington come to mind as players drafted really high without living up to expectations...Sure, there have been backups like Dennis Dixon and A.J.Feeley, but taking an Oregon QB that high hasn't worked out in the past.....Not even Derek Anderson from Oregon State did much better (another backup)

And in my opinion Joey Harrington was the best QB from Oregon and he was a turnover machine in the NFL.....Or maybe its just the Lions organization as Stafford is the same way.

But to answer this thread as far as best NFL Potential I'd go

1.Winston.....1st Round to me at this point
2.Mariota.......3rd Round to me at this point
3.Hundley......7th Round to me at this point (really needs to improve in several areas, could happen)

I still put Mariota over Hundley who I think really needs another year to improve so it is no surprise he coming back.

all 3 of these guys will be taken within the first half of the 1st round next year assuming they don't get injured.

laughable comment. Hundley isn't 'garbage' nor is he 'overrated'.. where do you come up with these things?

if he becomes more consistent with his medium to deep balls, he'll have the most upside of the 3 considering his size and toughness.

As of today, Hundley is not a projected first round pick.

Petty will go ahead of Hundley at QB.

I wouldn't take any of them early as of this point. I guess Winston has the most upside but let's see how he develops next year.

I agree with Well seasoned about the Oregon QBs....I will pass until one of them proves it's not a system style QB. He just seems to get hurt easily. As for Hundley.....watched him and bet on him a few times this year and he looked like shit so my opinion is a little biased.

All Oregon QB's are not system QB's.. Every QB out there whether they are from Oregon or another team has there own skill set.. Joey Harrington didn't play under any kind of system close to whats implimented now at Oregon.. I was surprised Joey didn't have success, but sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time for success.. I think you have 1 hand tied behind your back if you start your career with the Lions... Mariotta has the best skills for a NFL QB by far coming out of this program...not even close.. going all the way back to Dan Fouts...

I will take your word on it. Only time will tell. Harrington was too fragile. Stafford probably agrees with your Lions assessment.
