5-5 LW +2 Units
8-9 Overall -2.5Units

Friday
4* Boise -7
BSU better team right now especially on defensive side of the ball. Also love playing against OT Loser from previous week. BSU last trip to Fresno they won easily against better Bulldog team. It wont be easy but expect BSU to pull it out.

Saturday
5* Cal -14
Still not sure how AFA did not get win/cover against Minny LW. Minny was completely outplayed in home opener. Cal traveled Thursday to Minny, got walkthrough today and will practice there on Friday to get accustomed to time difference. What many don't realize is the CAL defense is actually pretty good and very athletic.

3* Cuse +4
Have NWestern as one of my surprise teams but think this Cuse team is improving and with emphasis on winning at home thing they keep this one very close. NW with B10 opener next week and numerous nicks and bruises on defense may have a hard time slowing down Orange pass game. Want to see NW perform as Road Fav before I believe.

4* Purdue -12
Was impressed with Boilers effort v Oregon last week and they rolled what may be a pretty good Toledo team in Week 1. Not sure N Ill close to the caliber of either of those teams and despite potential "trap" with Irish on deck, numbers show boilers get this done.

3* Baylor -10
Bears still learning how to deal with Fav role however UConn really banged up at QB and think with week of rest Baylor out for Revenge for last year loss back east. They want to bowl and this is game they have to win with

Still working on rest of card.

WinOne, any idea how the Fresno coaches and players are taking the loss in Wisky last weekend? I have to ask because Fresno St. is notorious for carrying a chip around for weeks or even months after coming so close to winning a game vs a BCS team. Was it a hard come down?

Or maybe Pat Hill shot his wad and now goes into "so what" mode as he often does during their conference schedule. :nosepicki

I like Boise. But just a good lean. Probably should bet it.

And I think you are correct about Cal. They've been playing extremely good football going in both directions. And if they happen to mow through their schedule, they'd deserve a NC berth and Best could become a very dangerous alternative to Tebow... that might happen anyway from the looks of his game, especially compared to Tebow's game up to now. His stock could go up 10 points if he has himself a day @Minnesota.

Fresno is saying all the right things but they continue to make mistakes. Practices were not crisp early on but that is very second hand. I expect them to come out with energy but that goes away after a couple of BSU scores.

Fresno Injuries on defense

SS Lorne Bell out w/Knee
DE Cris Carter will play but has compound fracture on middle finger. (heavily taped and shot up but tackling may be as issue)
DE Akers is doubtful with shoulder stinger

I know one team is excited about this game. I dont think Tech, even with quick drops will be able to protect Potts as he's not a quick read guy. They simplified the offense from week 1 to 2 and his picks drop from 3 to 0 however he still hit numerous defenders in the hands LW. With Texas HC Brown saying he's ready to release McCoy and allow him to run, this expands the UT offense so that not only the run game opens up but deep passing plays should follow. Would love this even more it I though Tech would run the ball while down by 4td's but backdoor is always possible with Tech

3* UL Monroe +20'
Flat spot for ASU before trip to UGA and if history tells us anything about ASU, they don't take prosperity very well. Expect big effort from ULM team that has some kids that can play. I will be very interested to see the ULM pass game off play action against a very thin and soft ASU secondary. Could be bombs away. ASU untested at this point and facing a team that has worked out some of their kinks. They definately won't be intimidated by sparse SunDevil Stadium crowd after playing in front of UT Fans ans numerous SEC venues

I was with you until I read this. ASU has depth and speed in the secondary for the first time in a long while. They all are fairly new, but I wouldn't call them soft or thin. Not to mention the fact that the d line and lb's WILL put pressure on the QB and force him to throw quicker than he wants to. This always makes your secondary look better. A consistent pass rush is also something ASU has been lacking in the past.

I definitely agree that this line is too high with the Georgia game next week. I just disagree with some of your reasoning.

No play for me.

I can respect your opinion, however you are basing your opinion off a game against Idaho St, not Idaho, but Idaho St who is a bad 1-AA team. They have 3 wins in the last 2 years against 1-AA opponents. ASU put up 400 yards but got 5 gift TO's . OU put up 600 yards with backup QB playing and only got 2 TO, gave them 2 back, and scored 64.

Young teams don't tend to focus. Young, untalented teams get played to the gun. As an alum and one who writes checks to support the school, I hope they don't lay an egg.

Catching Marshall of tough game with Va Tech and while BG played Mizzou well, numbers show that in high scoring game to take team with better defense and that looks to be BG.

4* Arkansas -2
Same here as we get Hogs at home with rest and better skill position players across the board offensively and defensively versus UGA team off two emotional games with Okie St and So Carolina. Cant see them up 3 straight weeks especially in one of the best home fields in SEC. Hogs easy in this one.

Stay away from TCU. They may be looking ahead to Clemson trip next week and several players did not participate in walkthrough yesterday due to flu/stomach virus. Thats a very big number considering Head Frog may be pulling players early to rest
