He did hit his 5th homer. So 1-4 keeps him at .250. But with game on the line, oops. Welcome to your first ever Pennant race Orlando. I thought they dumped Nomar so this would not happen? Hate when that game winning run is unearned...Best Wishes...OF

Froggy, try to get the facts straight: I watched the play on TV. Kapler made a throw from deep center, which should have been cut off but wasn't, Cabrera coming over from SS to a spot between 1st and 2nd kicked the ball towards 1st when he lunged to stop it. He never made a throw on the play, the error was called on the kick. At least get the facts straight before you post.

Thanks, wil.

were you watching the game??? kapler made the mistake , he overthrew the cutoff man bellhorn.the defense will improve once reeses comes off the dl and the stiff bellhorn goes back to the bench.

I remember mentioning yesterday something about the trade being a dud. Was yesterday before today? Also I remember questioning how good Cabrera was coming off perennial loser? How did Nomar and his new team do today? I prefer to see wins/losses and players who contribute either way. Bad start for Cabrera fans I guess...Best Wishes...OF

Typical, Frog someday when you grow up and learn just a ounce of humility you might be able to say something like "my bad, I just saw it was an error. and took a shot it was on a throw, sorry". Maybe someday, but hope no one around here holds their breath waiting.

Apparently I was not only dumass as it was steamed right before post. That was an A play. Oops, forgot, it won. I thought the entire board cashed that one, even General was rooting for it. But make no mistake, Sarloos was beyond bad. Luckily A's ripped RA Dickey for the 3rd or 4th time this year. I feel bad about that Sarloos play, just does not feel like a real win. Whew, all better now. Took longer than usual. Best wishes...OF

great day for Cabrera fans did you even bother to look at the box score?! he homered in his first AB. the error was not his fault. Nomar is a punk, really lame player to idolize. he was the one that turned down 15 mil/4 yrs that he wont be able to get anymore due to market structure. before A-rod talks, before any of this even happened. His greed brought this all on himself. Cabrera finnaly gets to play for a team that actually have fans and actually give a hoot. He's an awesome player and a competitor, I couldnt be happier for him. The loud cheers at fenway and the park itself will help get Cabrera the .300 hitter that he is, unlike Nomar who doesnt feel like playing hard and was hurting the chemistry of the club with his cry baby attitude that the commentators who spoke to other Red Sox players were mentioning during the game.

plus playing in puerto rico half the season with about 14 fans in the seats doesnt exactly help pad a guy's stats either.

the kirk sarloos thing is more in refrence to the way you talked about him. I still think youre an unreal capper Im not ragging on the play itself, OF. take what im saying in jest im not trying to attack you, just kind of bothered by the point of view, but hey its a posting forum.

To show this forum you are not a pompous self centered braggart ALL of the time. Have a nice rub down thinking about Orlando's Cabrera's throwing error.

He hit a HR his first BoSox at bat? I must have missed that. My bad. Not sure what to make of Nomar. I thought he was a career Red Sock, guess not. I also thought he was one of the best hitting SS I ever saw. I do not know about all of that baggage stuff. I thought he was a clubhouse leader until the A rod debacle. If you guys do not like Nomar any longer, I understand...I still do. Was just having some fun with Cabrera, error was not his fault. He will be batting .300 soon. Best wishes...OF

If this trade is indeed a dud, it will not be known til atleast the end of this season...Cubs winning today or an error by Cabrera doesn't mean anything yet.

I do like looking back at old predicitions we make around here as much as anyone , lets wait on this one, shall we?

Good points, most knowledgeable baseball fans IMHO would have to agree.
