If you are decent at blackjack, you can usually nickel & dime on your way to a profit.

But as soon as they catch on, and the difficulty level for the game gets changed, you have to be able to take notice, accept it, be patient, abd step away for a little while.

You can easily tell if & when things have changed from "random" to virtually unbeatable...

Had that exact thing happen. Was winning a dime a night then went on an all night session and couldnt win a hand. They actually cut me off before I lost all my money but I dropped 20 + dimes before all said and done

I've explained many times for those who deny or scoff at the idea there are difficulty settings with online casinos.

There definitely are.

Some books may have access & control them, while others may leave it to a 3rd party casino on the site.

Regular video games have difficulty settings on games you play.

Easy-Medium-Difficult-Chaos modes, etc.

Casino software is just another video game, and of course it has difficulty settings just like any other game, especially when you consider so much money & a business is at stake.

Some may even take over & control the games maually.

With all of that being said, it doesn't mean you can't win if you know what you're doing.

I've had much success with online casinos.

But again, you have to know when it simply isnt random anymore, you have no shot, and the willpower to back off.

By the way, congrats X-files!

Back before Neteller shut down, I made a fortune playing online blackjack - but not because I figured out how to beat the game, but I knew when the bonuses
offered overcame the house edge. I found, after playing millions of hands, that the major software providers weren't rigged: webdollar, cryptologic, microgaming, ...

I do think the online casinos connected to poker sites (and sports betting sites) have a high house edge - I'm not sure how they actually program this, but it has been
my experience that you get god-awful results from those providers.

I'm interested to know how you are able to detect when "shit isn't random" vs. a legit bad run of cards? I don't think this is feasible.

As a dealer I have a very hard time believing that the system is "rigged". Real casinos arent rigged and I see people lost 10-12 hands in a row all the time. You just have to realize that with the house edge you just simply cannot win longterm. If you think otherwise you are in denial and are lying to yourself. Casino gambling is a social event for entertainment and should never be thought of as anything more. (not including poker, sports betting).

The guys that deal BJ in the casino should be able to verify this......

When it comes to winning...... It basically WILL NOT happen...... Because.......

Let's consider a player who thinks he knows basic strategy. If he is one in a few thousand players...... He might win a little. If he wins much..... Flushed...... He's no longer the "type" player the suits want.

When you include human emotion and HUMAN NATURE...... (Chasing when losing..... Getting timid when winning)....... No chance. The hold on table games is enormous.

It is like the old "pay me now or pay me later" commercials.

One BJ strategy is to bet the table minimum till you lose a certain number in a row, say, for example, 12. Then raise your stakes to twice the minimum (or perhaps much more) so that your balance & the table limit can withstand another 6 or 12 losses in a row, while doubling your stakes after each loss, till you win. I find losing 10 or 12 in a row is quite rare & 15 or 16 in a row i've experienced maybe only once or twice. I don't recall ever having more than 16 straight BJ hand loses, though i've had around 10 twice sandwitched in between a win. But playing the card game War i once lost about 40 in a row. I concluded that game was either rigged or glitching.
