FSU has been a weak team in the trenches since Bowden's final couple years, and Jimbo's recruits also didn't change that.

I remember several years ago some sharp analysts were saying FSU had became a soft team in the trenches and the coaches were to blame. I didn't want to believe it because what they had been for most of my adult life. Basically a perennial top 5 team with 5 star recruits and future All-Americans and NFL draft picks throughout the roster. They were smashed by Wake later that season and it woke me up. I've been caught once or twice every season hopping back on the FSU bandwagon.

The Boise game to open this season was an awful loss. Yesterday the Canes pushed them around and they're also a team results contrary to their reputation.
