if they can get a good tv deal i have a feeling they can at least get wwe's attention. a lot of hardcore wwe fans are upset at the "new" wwe. the whole transition from the attitude era to sports entertainment has really rubbed some people the wrong way. i used to be a die hard fan, and still would occasionally tune in from time to time. but ever since they changed to 'PG' I have totally lost any interest that was left. The edgy content that got the ball rolling is now gone. There are no more story lines that push the envelope, no more swearing, no more flashing of the boobs, and they even got rid of cutting (bleeding). McMahon is going after the mainstream audience. He makes a point now of saying this is entertainment that will cater to an entire family, no longer just the 13 - 50 year old males. The guest host angle they are currently doing where they have a different celebrity host raw each week is a perfect example of this. They are using fame to attract a wider audience, and with that they can't live on the edge of is that ok for television material.
While Vince has picked up some fans, he has also alienated the fans that put him in this position. WWE will never again be how it was from 95 -01, but TNA seems to be willing to fill their void, and with that there will be some ex wwe fans looking for the type of wrestling they used to enjoy.
