The 200 is a strategic bear. Among the other variables (start, and the always trecherous curve- most would be surprised at how difficult it is to run the curve), my thought is that 200 specialist Dix medaling in the 100 changes this race toward more caution and technigue for the Jamaican powerhouses Bolt and Powell, negating wild WR times into more controlled racing. The Jamaican contenders will be less concerned with time and more concerned about Walter Dix which changes all strategies. My bet is on the negative. After that, I might take a look at the odds on US Runner Crawford who might medal after Bolt and Dix. Along with the qualifying rounds, this race will be exciting to watch.
