Why wouldn't places like CT allow it in their casinos. Is it Vegas that stops it?

Sherman, a federal law stops it. Only Nevada, Oregon and Delaware are exempt (New Jersey had a chance in 1993 to get grandfathered in, but didn't get it on the ballot).

As Chuck says, New Jersey is trying to get the law overturned as unconsitutional (claiming it's a state's rights issue), and I'm sure the Conn casinos will be keeping a close eye on that.

This shows how ignorant our government is.

What they have always considered a drug is now legal in some places & likely to keep spreading, yet we can't lay $50 of our God Damn earned money on a baseball game if we want to!

If they brought sports betting to the light and regulated and taxed it in the United States...surprisingly there would be a decrease in homelessness and crime. I guarantee that.

Nope no time soon if ever. They have been trying for years and literally no headway has been made. Have heard we are close for years....

Not sure why the majority of Americans think it's ok that Politicians get to decide if it's legal for ME to bet a football game. Makes me sick.

Underground market and Las Vegas have a monoply that they will never give up....
and some how the goverment is either to blind to see or recieving way to much money in kickbacks from both - to allow any other states to evolve!

THERE REALLY IS NO OTHER EXPLAINATION?

Medical marijane has just been legalized here in Pa.......& legalized DFS is coming week before this coming super bowl here in Pa......eventually we will get online poker as well.

Pa is really pushing for sports betting as well, & IMO, they might get it before at the same time as NJ, that's when it happens, & I'm confident in saying it will happen by 2019.
