Sherman, a federal law stops it. Only Nevada, Oregon and Delaware are exempt (New Jersey had a chance in 1993 to get grandfathered in, but didn't get it on the ballot).
As Chuck says, New Jersey is trying to get the law overturned as unconsitutional (claiming it's a state's rights issue), and I'm sure the Conn casinos will be keeping a close eye on that.
What they have always considered a drug is now legal in some places & likely to keep spreading, yet we can't lay $50 of our God Damn earned money on a baseball game if we want to!
If they brought sports betting to the light and regulated and taxed it in the United States...surprisingly there would be a decrease in homelessness and crime. I guarantee that.

Medical marijane has just been legalized here in Pa.......& legalized DFS is coming week before this coming super bowl here in Pa......eventually we will get online poker as well.
Pa is really pushing for sports betting as well, & IMO, they might get it before at the same time as NJ, that's when it happens, & I'm confident in saying it will happen by 2019.
