Wondering if it would pay to start learning that game well now to be ahead of the donkey curve that might eventually move to that game?

I doubt it. I'd fully expect the Omaha field to be much stronger than HE.

Ive probably played over 600 Omaha8b mtts now and as you can see my experiance over the field gives me a decided advantage...
During current Omaha H/L session you were dealt 61 hands and saw flop:
- 5 out of 7 times while in big blind (71%)
- 2 out of 7 times while in small blind (28%)
- 5 out of 47 times in other positions (10%)
- a total of 12 out of 61 (19%)
Pots won at showdown - 0 of 1 (0%)
Pots won without showdown - 1

2nd time ive played the $215 tourny and im now 2-2. 2 tournys played and 2 hands won.

Only way that could ever happen is if the WSOP main event ever switched from Texas Holdem to Omaha.

Thats the reason for Holdems popularity to begin with.

Will never happen. Not enough people understand Omaha or the beauty of the game. Besides, most donkeys have a hard enough time understanding what their Hold Em hand is when the river comes and now you want them to know the high AND the low? Fughedaboutit!

Compared to Hold Em, Omaha is too complicated.

You can learn Hold Em in 5 minutes. Doesn't mean you're going to be good, but you can learn the basics.

Same thing with dealing. When you're playing home games, everybody knows how to deal Hold Em.
