SHRINK, it is very possible. As long as they can put 5 bodies on the floor for 40 minutes and there is a 3 point shot available, they can easily win a 1st round game.

They currently have their seedings all screwed up....says ODU a 12 and Gonzaga a 4...but that is impossible. so I am guessing ODU at a 13.

Real mid-majors take they act on the road if need be to prove their worth. By the way, who the phuck would want to play a home and home with a team like ODU that's non-conference? A big plunge in the other team's SOS and RPI ratings/rankings come to mind.

I admire your support for your home team, and you have been very sharp in making your bets so far this year...I have seen you bet several times against ODU. Now having said that, I think you have now let your heart get in the way of your brain. I'm not saying you shouldn't continue to hope and root for ODU to make it to the Sweet Sixteen, but you now seem to be making the case that they will make it to the Sweet Sixteen. They may, but they are about 9-1 against making it....based on a projected +300 Moneyline in their first two games.

ODU may make it to the Sweet Sixteen; I will actually be rooting for them; and depending on the point spread, I may even bet on them. But NO, I do not believe they will win their first round game (or second round, should they get that far).

doug, run those numbers again. If you parlay +300 with another +300 it comes out to 15-1, not 9-1.

That sounds about right to me. If they somehow get a 9 seed then maybe they are pk em in the first game but would then face a #1 as a DD dog, at least +600 probably. If they get a 10, then they'd face a #2 in the second round as a big dog. A 12 seed would probably be the cushiest position, in which they might be +250 and +300, or thereabouts.

I completely agree, was just quoting what I saw. They have since updated so that it is an ODU-Utah 5-12 game with the winner likely playing Gonzaga.

Utah/ODU would be interesting...the battle of the Aussie big men, Bogut vs. Loughton. I'm afraid Utah would probably be too much for ODU to handle.
