IMHO, by them ( a 15 Seed ) making it to the Sweet 16 should help their recruiting.

I don't know much about the Atlantic Sun Conf. but wouldn't mind keeping an eye on them in the future.

They have only been in Division I since 2006...

The other good team out of that Conference is Mercer...

I think it helps them. They are now on the map as a very good new out for those that get left out of the reecruiting process in general. They are in an area attractive to a College student, and also an area with loads of talent where it all can't go to the big power schools. Competitive talent gets overlooked all the time, or isn't offered for manny reasons. Should these guys have been offered Schollies at Fla, Mich, Louisville...IDK, but for a group of them to win a AAU National Title at 10 and again at 17 years of age says something, and it's hard to see how all weren't on the radar at some higher schools at an early age. Rock on FGCU, I enjoyed the ride. I picked you in all my Brackets to make it where you did for a reason. I hope you continuee to build on that reason, because it is a great one to have in the long term.

Tough to say

Not much talent leftover once Florida, Miami, FSU, and the other tops schools in the nation swoop up all of the state of Florida's talent.

I think sometimes a school just gets a little lucky with talent and all of the right players together at the right time who just gel as a group...

Not much talent leftover?

- I don't know if I agree there. Alot of talent is hit or miss anyways.

I think sometimes a team gets a little lucky, and they gel as a group.

-BINGO. It's what the team has that I notcied long ago. They wouldn't constantly throw those ridiculous alley oops and passes no matter the score if they didn't trust their teammates. Composure and playing as a team and believing in yourselfs is big. Take a look at the end of 2 games yesterday, Mich and Oregon. The scenarios of those games were very similiar. With a litttle less than 3 minutes to play, both Teams were down 10. Mich whole team was still in the game, no motivation or Coaching needed. Oregon however did. The camera caught the Oregon player yelling to his teammates with about 2 minutes to play, " Shit man! Get in the Game! Don't give up!!" The odds are stacked against you of course, but Mich proved it does happen. FGCU did what they had to do in the game. They never gave up. unfortunately this time, their efforts weren't enough as they lost to the better team. They were competitive though, and left their mark on hopefully what is a step up for the Program.

Probably this is there high water mark for a long time but it was a pretty high high. Andy is being sought after by some big schools and he was a big reason for there success.
