I don't think he does. Remember at the end of the Clinton Administration, when Bill wanted to "cement" his legacy and had the peace summit. Didn't work out that well. Don't think Clinton thinks too much of Arafat now.

Now this is something that you and I agree on. With all due respect DocM, Arafat is a thug, a crook (look in to how he amassed his fortune), a criminal, and a terrrorist.

The worst thing a President (dem or repub) could do is legitimize this creep. I have never thought he was good for the Palestinian cause and thank God he is history.

Not that I agree, I'd imagine it's because you can't kill off 3 million and they aren't going anywhere so you have to attempt to work some sort of a deal. There really isn't much of a solution on this one. Even when they officially get their land they will continue to try to push Israel into the sea.

I'd like to see Arafat straped into a wheel chair and launched off of a ship and sea.:kicking: Wouldn't that be sweet?
