How many times do we see this, an old pitcher reaches back , pitching on adrenaline, makes it thru that first start....next time out goes 3 innings and gets rocked.
I'm thinking it might be a very long time before anyone should fade the Yankees, no matter who's pitching for them. Leiter is old yes, but IMO he is still a much much better pitcher than he was and showed down in Florida. The Leiter we saw last game might very well be the one we're going to see for the rest of this year. I think the Yankees made a great move by getting him and I could easily see this paying off big-time. Can't believe no one else made a move on him instead of just letting then strong get stronger, especially in the position where they were most vulnerable right now. I was hoping my Braves could pick him up but I guess they have other ideas. We'll see, very good chance I'm wrong on all of this but ???
