Wilhelm - you know we have become friends and that I respect your opinions and intelligence. You are a rational guy. A man of reason.

Dontcha think it is a little bit ridiculous to put complaints against advertisers in a separate forum?

you KNOW nobody goes to those threads. if this thread were not around, i never woulda known about this complaint against bodog.

dont you think it is wrong to do that? i know you do...so why dont you change the policy here?

Try reading the first post in every thread you will then know why we have a dispute forum.

You will see if you read the complaints that many could have been handled by communication with moderators, or are from 1st time "newbies" with agenda, or just from posters upset with CSD for no real reason. Like I said read the first post in each thread and ask yourself is this really a compalint that justifies risking a book's reputation over. Any legitimate complaint from a credible poster is left offshore for discussion. We have to protect our books from first time posters who just want to bash advertiser books for no reason. Some posters blame books because they lose, others bash because of minor things like junk mail, while others are ghosts with an agenda. When a complaint like the Bodog one (last night) is lodged we simply ask the poster to let us mediate the problem with the advertiser book, all of which we have excellent communication with. Once that is done, and if the problem is not resolved then a poster is free to post offshore with his complaints. In the Bodog case last night the poster and the book are in communication and I am sure all will turn out fairly. There are maybe 6 real complaints since June in the dispute forum, they all have been solved, a few "I'm unhappy with" posts are really not negotiable.

What if a newbie posted that you owed him money with his 1st post offshore, should it stand?

The fact is the Dispute forum is axcessable to anyone who wants to post there, just a click away from Offshore or the Rubber Room and very easy to find. Posters have no trouble finding the baseball forum much father down the board, so saying threads are hidden is imo. in correct.

wilhelm- i just think that a dispute should be aired. period. if it requires a moderator to resolve it...that is a MAJOR problem in my mind. what about all the people who dont know about the rx. what do they do when books try to cheat them? thus, if someone complains about a book, let it stand. if it is a ghost, always that person is exposed soon enough and no damage is done.

I'm not taking sides, but I like that disputes forum. thats where all the dirt is.

I liked the comment about bodog being too busy with the cheer leaders. I thought that was funny.

Identity is right. I couldn't agree more.

The original offhore forum, "praise, bitch, moan," was set up justy for that purpose. People should be able to see what is going on.

I believe that if something is an outright lie, it should be taken down completely. Many of the topicsin the dispute room are just people's opinions and now they have been buried in the less traveled room.

I had no problem when WSEX had the soccer situation being posted and resolved in the main room. I am proud of how they handled that situation. And it was there for all to see.

I just pulled up this thread in the disputes forum. How is this a dispute? This is a legitimate complaint about a web site not working properly.

http://forum.therx.com/eve/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=100090022&f=246107051&m=401104012

Now, in the main room, if no one else joined in, people would probably assume it's a lone nut. Let the posters decide for themselves unless it is blatant trash. And if it is blatant trash, delete it.

Wil, I enjoy most of your posts but I respectfully disagree with you here.

bottom line - this forum was intended to protect the PLAYERS. not the advertisers. if the advertisers are of primary concern, wil, then the way you are doing it now is right.

We are going to make it much easier for those of you who don't like to scroll down a couple inches soon.

In the past there were way to many threads that were unjustified, agenda based, and flat out lies. We are trying a new idea. Thank you for the feedback. It is appreciated.

Call me crazy, but when a poster refers to a book as "Blowdog" he or she loses credibility whith me.
