the ezstreet thing showed me everything i needed to know about wil. he was here for that paycheck and nothing else and always did what was in his best interest. they fired him, or he would never have left.if this bothers the sheep so be it.

Yes, you might be one of the few. I've watched how hard Wil worked to keep his check coming, very doubtful he woke up one morning and just decided to throw in the towel. If he was tired he would have never worked as hard as he did at beating a player out of his money in the EZStreet fiasco. He would have blown the whistle on SynBet, there was guys with 7 posts who just found the forum that knew that was a scam. Watching Wil work so hard to give these outfits credibility was painful to watch.

All that said I'm glad it's not his health, wouldn't wish that on anyone. I think right now the RX has a nice opportunity to repair some of the damage that has been done recently. At the beginning the RX was around to help protect gamblers, you came to hear those with more experience talk candidly about what was going on offshore. At the end the players needed protection from the RX. Hope this is a fresh start back to being what the RX once was. Good luck.

perfectly said.

i don't really know why wil left but i know he shamed me out of the free stuff that everybody was supposed to get from the bash.the bash was low class except for the rooms and all the posters i met and hung around with.they were all great people and fun to be with.as far as the bash itself, whats a empty room with pretzels and peanuts and a few cheap drinks even called a party, really we could have all rented a room downstairs ourselves and played poker and had some food there and had a better time.also there were no seats at the bash, just standing around for 3 hours with our thumbs up our ass.wil said he sent e-mails out but i did not get one cause he did not send any,or at least to everybody,so he is gone for a reason and its not to take a break, finally maybe its our break to get some better leadership here,VD would fit the position nice, just my opinion

The only free swag you didn't get was a $50 Bonus Play at EZStreet.
I will agree that the Bash this yr itself was like you described which was a far cry from the previous Bashes I've attended where there was an MC, raffles, contests/prizes and real food/drink. However, Wilheim attended those previous Bashes and personally made sure that they were well organized and posters were taken care of, and as a result they were far superior and entertaining than this yrs. So perhaps his absence at this Bash had something to do with the lack of organization and party atmosphere.

Aren't we really witnessing the cumulative effect of less monrybet offshore; which is the lifeblood of sites like Rx, which primarily serve as feeders to the offshore books. There is less money to be split as overhead, or advertisements fees; and places like Rx, Eog, Covers, just do not have their piece of the action coming in. It will take legalization of sports betting to return Rx to where it was; and a general ptick in economy would help also; as many sports bettors will cut back on action, when their incomes are stagnating or decreasing..

jmho..

fwiw, I thought Wil did a good job, always had to play the middle; in the end, he had to go; like a head coach of a losing team..>> won't know what really happened until a few drinks with a few people who really know.

With good management and ownership in place, a few gaming/sportsbetting forums are thriving..............

Agree though, the legal climate surrounding online sportsbetting certainly has had a negative impact on TheRX.....................all one has to do is take a look at the banners atop this page, there are almost as many PER HEAD banners as regular sportsbooks.

Thanks for the compliment but I have just finished a year of headaches at another forum...it was not Wil's fault that the RX Bash wasn't up to snuff like others...I put the blame squarely on the owner of the RX...let's hope Marty wakes up and makes next years event a tad better....maybe even join forces with another forum and make it a bigger event...

Actually it was all your fault. Where were the Limo's to the strip clubs ? No dancing girls in our rooms ! Promise us all that next year's Bash will include these as part of our ameneties and you will have my support as head Mod.
