Game 163 of 1978? I am sure Wilheimer was probably a diehard Bosox fan back then...

Fish were you with the Sox at that point in time?

Any interesting stories regarding that '78 season guys?

I have been a fan since 1967, of course I remember it.

When Bucky hit the homer I was attending Jr. College in Iowa and watching the game in my apartment.

I was in pure shock until about 15 seconds after Bucky crossed homeplate.

Then I karate chopped my coffee table literally in two and threw a golf ball through the living room closet door.

When YAZ popped up to end the game, I was completely drained and depressed.

I remember the last week in the season, I would have to drive around town in my camaro listening to the Red SOX play the TIGERS with Ernie Harwell screeching to me fading in and out through the static.

That is why I was in the car, for better reception.

JMAN- You dont know my true agony that I have gone through with the Red Sox.

If you did, you would take it easy on me more often and feel my pain.

I can totally relate to getting in the car and listening thru the static to out of town games,lol....Thanks for reminding me...thats how it was though back in the day!
