You people can't be serious. First of all, nobody is more important to that team than Upton. How can you say he doesn't try. Either you don't watch a lot of Rays games or you don't like him for some other reason. I'm getting so sick of all the Upton bashing. He plays hard and he's a stud who will only get better. Don't mistake being a great athlete and making things look easy for not trying. Any team in baseball would kill to have him.
Secondly, that ball was deep. There's no fuckng way he throws him out. There is nobody to blame for that call other than that fuck-tasting ump who, by the way, was also behind the plate for Pierzynski's "dropped third strike" play in the playoffs a few years back.
