One simple reason. Why the fck are you still accepting deposits when you don't know if you will be still in business today, tomorrow or next week?

Everyone keeps saying you all are the good guys in this. Good, honest people don't accept people's money without knowing if you can pay it back.

I agree that deposits should not be accepted until funding is in-hand.

I was the moron that deposited money in Camelot the day after rumors broke about their problems. 20 minutes after giving them the WU MTCN, I came online and saw thread after thread talking about Camelot being in trouble. I jumped on the phone and talked to MD about how I wanted to cancel my $2,000 deposit and he said that there was "no problem" and "people were spreading rumors" and he had "investors lined up".

I could have forgiven MD for running a bad operation, but I have ZERO respect for a person that takes money when when they know that the ship is sinking - that is low and if Shrink and The RX really want to help the player, they have to put an end to something like that. The RX may not know that a ship is sinking, but when the fire alarm goes off they have to make sure they do everything they can to pressure the book into not taking deposits.

Well, they don't HAVE to pressure the book, I just wish they would and knowing how much they try to help mediate problems, this might be something they should look into.

PS: I did get my Camelot money back through Olympic.

The problem is there is no one to pressure. There are BIG businessmen in Panama holding the money and Bill doesn't even have quick access to them. I called this morning and asked Scotty who I need to call (The President or who). The people holding the money do not give a damn about us. It has become a stupid political issue with the investors.

One even simpler reason. Who sold the investors on the business plan and whose responsibility was it that the business plan reach certain profitability/revenue goals to avoid being shut down?

Ya know what would be nice? Since our good friends Scotty, Marty & Billy are looking out for us, they could inform us as to what the "big political issues" are between the investors - you know, the ones that they had "meetings" about and had gotten "ironed out" and whose resolution was just being "officially documented" before we could get our "money".

I know I'm getting robbed either way, I'd just like to know what these insurmountable "issues" are.

General, it doesn't matter if they cease now or not. If they were honest people, they wouldn't have done it in the first place.
