i JUST FIGURED DRIVING UP THE 5 TO THE 405 WOULD BE EASIER THAN PHOENIX. THE FIRES MUST BE HORRIBLE TO GO ALL THE WAY TO PHOENIX.

The Rose Bowl with free seats would have been great, yes. But it is not an NFL stadium and I think the answer to your question lies right there.

LA doesn't have an NFL ready stadium and also has some fire issues, although they aren't as close to say the Rose Bowl either. I think though having NFL caliber press box and camera setups are as important as anything. Way NFL teams travel didn't matter much getting on a charter plane takes less time to get to Tempe than LA.

Good point, not only that but the NFL probably would have instituted a blackout rule for LA
