Why would you elbow a ref while running onto the field. Who does this guy think he is. Of all players in any sport, this is the guy I dislike the most. If you guys saw the video where he elbowed the official while running onto the field I am sure you agree.

I disagree that it was intentional. Sapp is actually very intelligent, especially compared to the majority of the NFL players, and it makes absolutely no sense at all for him to deliberately bump or elbow an offical.

i agree sapp is an idiot. several times his antics have fired up an opposition that may have been ready to roll over. his teammates should put a muzzle on him

watch the tape and you will see it was intentional. He had plenty of room not to bump the official, its not like he was in a concert. He was on a freaking football field with plenty of room.

that f*cker cost me my first half bet on the Bucs, they had the Skins stopped at mid-filed on 3rd and 15, sack Ramsey, adn what the hell does he do rams the quarterback in the head with his helmet, 15 yard penalty, 1st down, REdskins end up scoring a T.D. hey Sapp,

It did look intentional. He's wacked, Always like to stir things up in a masked or subliminal way (can't think of the word I want to use). MAybe his way of getting back at the NFL brass for warning him of his pre-game antics vs. Colts last Monday night (along with Arrington). ??? Who knows. He's Immature and doesn't often act professional, but I agree with the poster who said he's intelligent. Maybe in his head He figures he's one up on the NFL for issuing the warning to stayu 0n his side of the field during pregame warm-up . It surely was intentional, but easily proclaimed accidental if it were to become an issue. He know doubt did it, but in a sly manner. As to Why??
ONLY THE SHADOW KNOWS ... (and Sapp himself). Regardless - an immature and unprofessional act by one of the NFL elite.

Sapp is a dumbass. Nothing surprises me with this guy. The most overrated DT ever. Just because he runs his mouth a lot everyone assumes he is good.

Instead of saying something like this why don't you put a big sign around your neck that says, "I know nothing about football"

Soory to be harsh, but that's a foolish statement, Kman.

Good God. He's a first ballot hall of famer. He's played the 3 technique better than any DT in football since 1997. He's up in years for his position, so of course his production has slowed down, but he still commands a lot of attention.

Stats? He's had around 7 sacks each the last 2 years and 16 sacks in 2000. Name me a DT who's getting much more than 7 or 8 sacks a year, while getting doubled a lot. You think Simeon Rice thinks Sapp is overrated?

I know he's an @ss, but that isn't what I'm arguing.

hey, at least get your facts straight ---- Sapp got the sack on that play but it was Greg Spires who picked up that penalty!

Rrrrrrack Him!
too often people let their personal prejudices get in the way ---- sure, Sapp is a jackass ... nobody's debating that, but I guarantee that he'd start on EVERY one of your football teams (assuming you're not a Bucs fan)

Without a doubt he would start on every team but a Hall of Famer????? I think he might make the Hall based on him telling everyone how great he is and not neccessary how he plays football.

25 DL had more sacks than Sapp last year.
35 DL had more tackles than Sapp last year.

He is a good player without a question, I just think that he thinks he is better than he is and he wants to let everyone else know how good he thinks he is.

He's a character and the media like to giv ehim attention, didn't realize he was so over-rated last year looking at those stats... maybe teams are double-teaming him?

let me ask you guys a question:
IF you were an offensive coordinator and you're facing the Bucs, who is THE FIRST PLAYER that you're going to scheme for and try to negate?
