Why is Josh Becketts strikezone constantly bigger than Pettittes?

The pitch to Garcia was borderline for sure, usually the Yanks would get that one...

He did squeeze Andy a couple times too.

Not taking anything away from Fla. they deserve this one...

good point j.

13-2. One for Pierre. One for the mythical 2-1 strike on Nick.

Maybe they snuck Eric Gregg out of forced retirement. Remember ATL/Fla game in '97. They say its the game that launched Westec.
Marlins got some close ball/strike calls tonight but Yanks still well ahead on them for Series.

Being a Yankees fan, I obviously wasn't happy with the outcome. Beckett's pitching was amazing though, no matter what anyone says. I still wouldh've liked to see this go on to game 7, but, the best team in baseball has already won.
Congratulations to the Florida Marlins.

The losers always complain. Seemed like the same strike zone to me.

Mango,
I've the first to admit the bias of Angel Hernandez & that the Yanks usually get the calls. It has nothing to do with losing. Beckett was very good. The ump made him seem great.

I'm not whining, I really don't care that much - if I did I'd have been at the stadium which is minutes from me.

I posted this during the game because it's true. That's it.

No one can blame last nights loss to the Marlins on the umpires' strikezone. Beckett pitched great and the Yankees couldn't hit.

Nobody blamed the loss on the ump.
