Once upon a time thursday and friday night football was for the Sunbelt conference type teams... it was what got the MAC and WAC a lot of their exposure several years ago... So now that Thursday night football has gotten overtaken by the PAC-0 and SEC these small conferences have to find somewhere else to play... welcome to Tuesday Night Football (on a night when we were NOT suppose to have baseball... oops)
